it fell shy of the 75 % ( ya know the limit you guys set for something to come out ) yet your bringing it anyways. way to stick to the rules you made.

As the devs have explained...

It failed the poll mostly due to them adding the inferno as an extension to the fight cave. A large portion of the community want the content to be standalone, not simply an extension of the fight cave. They have reworked the content and are now re-polling to see if this is more in line with what the community had in mind.

Heaven forbid they rework content that nearly passed poll so that it more closely matches what the community wanted (failing a poll does not mean it is forbidden to re-poll).

Will be voting yes. I am excited to see a fire cape V2 and the standalone challenge. I left rs3 because I felt it took a wrong turn. I hope there are others out there who joined osrs to see the game progress and grow in the right direction instead of watching it stay exactly how it was in 2007 forever. My only suggestion is that it would be nice to see a quest leading up to the new content.

Why keep polling the same things? Why do all this work when there hasn't been a poll about this that has been passed. I am not happy about a jad 2. Its a tired old idea from rs3 that is lame. Oh another jad for another firecape, and the fact we have to go give up the cape from the first hour long boss fight. This type of updates are not the direction the osrs team should be going. Regeritating rs3 is becoming more and more apparent as the mods are drifting into their old ways of creating content then caring what their community thinks. Stop letting the pride of developers get in the way, so angry about the salt you get from your updates that they make it more of a point to get the content made. It's clear the developers don't understand why people spend all their time on this game and putting "things you think would be cool and fun" for a game you don't understand is a good way to damage community.

I'm likely to vote no on this. Mainly due to the content aiming more for meleers...

This is Runescape! Not Meleescape ffs!

Now if they add some range and mage gear items or cape for the other two combat types. (Maybe the same or similar def and prayer bonus like the melee fire cape.) I would give this a YES vote and a pass.

If this rework of polling a better fire cape does pass i would like to suggest offering a ranged, magic and melee version of the cape, you would need to complete the inferno once for each type of cape. the only problem i see with this idea is it only benefits melee. as for stats of ranged and magic fire capes im not sure, maybe jmods could throw some stats out and see if the community is interested in this idea? thanks for reading.

so then they should have re polled it as a seperate extention since the initial poll failed . rather then assume thats why it failed . heaven forbid they actualy abide by rules they set. it failed the poll it failed the poll reguardless. of reason
