"If this were to happen, the support we give Old School would diminish which would obviously impact on the updates and support you get. It is in both our interest and your interest to ensure that F2P is delivered properly." To put this on your loyal players is kind of silly to me. you cant put the success of your game and your decisions on the back of players just so if the game fails you can blame the players.
Don't you get it, my friend? It's not the OSRS Team's decision how and when we'll be getting F2P.
As long as OSRS is owned by Jagex & IVP who continuously undermine it and put in a huge effort in order to ensure it won't outnumber their dead horse game of RS3 (Which is clearly Jagex's main concern), then unfortunately they won't stop with their hostile attitude towards Oldschool RS.
Any normal and sane company would've permanently opened OSRS to F2P, renamed it and would fully restore the backup of the RS website as of August 2007. Any normal and sane company, shouldn't be underestimating and undermining their own game like Jagex & IVP do.
I completely agree with you. Jagex shouldn't be putting the success of Oldschool on their players shoulders. If they can't see the huge potential Oldschool holds, then it's their problem for not doing enough in order to maximize Oldschool's potential, not ours.
