If Jagex adds an autotyper then i want an "autotyper" toggle on the chat bar and i want the option "Permanently ignore all people who use the official autotyper".

Support this but not permanent though just hide their autospam.

No because botting ruins the game. It's that simple. What needs to be discussed has already been discussed for the past 16 years of RS existence.

Good news.

But I think the success of this will be extremely limited. It sounds like your relying on word of mouth from people who already play. I'm pretty sure all our(people who currently play osrs) friends already know about osrs and have probably tried it already.

What we need is brand NEW players who then spread it to their friends. We need runescape as a game option for a big game site like we used to have on miniclip. If miniclip is still big make a deal with them, if that deal is too costly or something then that isn't good for rs because I think that is the best advertising you can do for it.

If I remember correctly funorb came out and runescape left miniclip around same time as wilderness removal so its hard to say how much of an effect it had but I wouldn't be surprised if removing it from miniclip was a huge factor in runescape's decline. Maxed Sept 24th, 2015 - 134th to max

That is not what I'm suggesting at all, if you read my post you'd realize that.

Considering I haven't botted on this game one bit, I don't necessarily support it, but if JaGeX cares so much about their revenue, they'll understand that banning bots who are training with gaining no gold isn't worth it, considering it's only making more people quit.

As I said, if you saw things the way I did, and yes, I lead a clan of 60 active pures, you'd understand where I'm coming from with this.

I could literally bring back 10-15 pures EASILY that were in my clan pre-eoc, but they don't feel like coming back because of the G-R-I-N-D you have to go on.
No one has time anymore to sit there and get their accounts within beastmode anymore, you don't find anyone like that.

Proves to me how awful this community really is, no one knows how to respect anyone else's opinion, it's ridiculous.


Then why don't you suggest to let accounts who had high stats back in 2007 give the same stats in this F2p world as they had back in 2007?

You have to realise we can't just spoil you and your friends just because you're old.

I think 2 weeks isn't enough, it would take a solid month at minimum to get hooked.

Hell, back in the day I played classic f2p for 6 months or so before RS2 came out, then another year of rs2 without ever subbing.

Then again I was like 11-12 years old. But still!

The idea of bonds in OS scares me a bit.. not really sure why... It would save me from ever having to go into RS3 again.. and would mean I wouldn't have to trust some scam coin-swap fc...

Still the whole idea feels yucky. Kinda makes it to easy to get GP and leaves you less goal oriented.
