Thanks for the update nevertheless. You've definitely provided us with many good changes and QoL this week. The HUD display for MLM was my suggestion, and I'm glad it could make it's way into the game.
I don't know much about DDoS'ing, but this is the most severe and longest attack I've seen the servers experience in all it's 4 years. I didn't actually know a series of attacks could last for this long - because I thought it cost the criminals a lot of resources to do it this long as well. I always thought a DDoS attack lasted from a few minutes to a few hours. So whoever is targeting us must have a lot of resources at their leisure for such a lengthy attack.

Can we know the rough time range taken for the veins in Motherlode mine to deplete after first being mined? Like from X seconds minimum to Y minutes maximum, or simply, how does this mechanic works?
Approximately 9-24 secs from someone first successfully mining it. Which tends to be longer than a top-level miner would have got previously even on their own, and since it's not affected by how many other people are mining at the same time, I'd hope it'll be a buff for you.
N.B. Previously, all veins had a 33% chance of depleting when
anyone
got ore, so they tended to deplete faster if multiple people were getting ore there.
That's still the case in the lower part of the mine.
Ah, this is most informative, thank you very much Ash.

How long till this gets solved atleast give us a time or something or update?
As that really depends on what kinds of attack come in, what the sysadmins can do about them, and what new kinds of attacks get tried after, it's rather hard to guess a time when "this gets solved".
We've got a front-page newspost up to let people know what's going on, and if we hear anything from the sysadmins to pass on to you all, we will.

Off topic but, I would be willing to donate my kidney for Revenant caves and pvp armors/weapons.
Thanks for the kind offer, but I don't think we need a kidney.
Might offer the cave (or something like it) as part of another wilderness update this year though.

Back in 2014-5 we occasionally saw all worlds offline. That kind of thing has been a lot rarer since we got so much more protection in there. But it's still possible to disrupt people's connections briefly - and for something as volatile as an online game, a smooth connection is critical. One doesn't have to personally own the resources to do it; such tools have been known to be offered for hire.

Now that we have shift-drop, can we get shift-sell-1 for shops?
Mod Atlas made the engine feature pretty expandable for more options on items. We may have to use something a little different for other interfaces though, such as shops. But let's see how this actual update goes before trying to stick it in more places.
