So... y'all don't like the numbers of online old school players huh?

You want to lower the passing rate (that the PLAYERS decided in the beginning AND in a poll, was fine at 75%)?

You want to first begin by blocking all but pures from voting on whether or not they return to Ape Atoll (in spite of the fact that that WOULD impact all players, or TO spite ALL players)?

And you want to ensure a further division of the community by being the one to determine what 'class' anyone may or may not fall into.. all on your own?

And those ideas (and ALL of the ideas posed in that makeshift devblog) are about as 'awesome' as EOC ever thought about being.

I have just one single solitary question for you (Jagex). Just one. Are you STUPID?

You have something that obviously works.. no, it doesn't allow you to dump too much random stuff into this old game.. it ties your hands to some extent. Do ya really think you'd have this many players back if there wasn't some minor amount of limitations placed on you in order to protect the game?

I have never seen a dumber idea out of jagex (and I've seen plenty of really, REALLY dumb ideas over the years!).

Leave well enough alone and if you want to force crap into a game go back to RS3.

I really like the idea of hiding the results until the end of the poll. That way players actually have to read each question and answer it, instead of seeing what's the most common answer before the poll and choosing that. It also creates an element of surprise because no one knows what the results will be! :D

The poll system is fine as it is.

It needs to be a majority vote of 75% so that generally the minority will accept the changes they didnt really want.

Often in the past i have voted no for something that has passed and because it was over 75% of the community i have been happy to accept the change.

I personally think that the option to skip a question should be removed as this encourages apathy to certain questions.

Players that take part in the poll should have to answer all questions for there votes to count.

Support for pure-only related content polls, also please acknowledge the difference between a "singles" pure account build and a "clanning" pure account build. No support for pures being able to return to Ape Atoll without claiming the experience reward, that ship has already sailed. Support for Tele Block to be introduced to F2P as well as corrupt / degradable tier 60 weapons to change the current F2P meta and make defence less overpowered in F2P fights.

Do not change the poll system and do not repoll the 75% requirement, do you have the attention span of a child Jagex? It's been a year and a half or 2 and you seem to have forgotten that 75% was polled already, and you know d claws were in a poll at one time too but u repolled that. Do not make any questions exclusive to one "genre" of player because that will allow abuse and advantages to an exclusive smaller portion of the oopulation regardless if it does or doesn't effect everyone else the fact we can't vote on the same question gives them a feature of runescape I do not have for the same monthly membership fee. It's a slippery slope the best solution is to get more involved with the community suggestions and play the game more yourselves you don't all seem quite on the same page as the veterans of this game it's like a concept to you and a reality for us.

If you improve how to collect data on what could help the game and maintain it's integrity then maybe you would have polls that people want to vote yes on. The construction update is the best example I can think of, there's plenty of content that could be updated like construction to be more relevant to players w/o breaking the game or making brand new content.

After raids I think you should cut way back on any updates outside of qol or improving existing skills/content. Twisted bow and rigour prayer need to be nerfed asap why dont you poll that? Just wait if you don't do something now then the raids gear will do what rapiers, ovls, summoning, turmoil etc did to the original runescape and make all current/old bosses packed in every world, easy to solo for hours, and then prices will drop drastically.
You will end up killing this game which has been apart of my life since 2004 if you don't have the foresight to see the effects of hitting 90s at sara, jad, bandos, etc. on the game in the coming years.

Why the heck would you consider to lower the % to 70% ? You very well know that the biggest chunk of updates makes the polls even at 75%, even when the forum cryouts blame them of not being "Old School". The majority of updates that are not passing are community specific as you mentioned. It seems more like you want to give yourselves more freedom rather than the playerbase.

Personally I believe the polling system is completely broken and allows for too many flaws. Giving this much power to the community is bound to have too many unwanted results as the mass very often has no idea what it wants.
Sadly even you guys seem content with unbalanced content and have often rushed updates or tried to push/force ideas that you liked, as seen in the past.

In the end though I'd rather put the reins in your hands (the dev team) than the community... If not I think it would be a very good idea to conceal the results of the polls and keep the rest as it is. Seeing the results can have a very huge impact on the vote decision made.
