Apparently I fail to see the "buff" in the Heavy Ballista. I completely understand making it 75 range since it is fairly comparable to its melee counterpart the Armadyl Godsword, however in this same thought I don't understand making it require monkey madness 2. If there was a quest requirement to use the AGS I would understand this complete. Sadly as it currently stands anybody with the level requirement can use an AGS immediately without any quest requirements. So how does it make sense to have an essentially PK weapon require a quest? The only thing I can see this accomplishing is people revert to using Dark bows and Heavy Ballista prices falling. I more than welcome any criticism.
Why would you compare it to the ags, range is much stronger than melee early on, to even get close to making the ags even somewhat viable you have to get 75 attack and high up in strength levels, at least 85+ for decent pking. Most players don't just go camp ankous with a rune scimitar for two, yes count them, two skills, attack, AND strength, to use a weapon, players 9 times out of 10 would immediately rush to complete monkey madness to utilize the d scim, which automatically requires several quest hoops to jump through in the same likeness as the ballista does. There may not be exact quest requirements to use the ags, but there are quest paths that almost every player would utilize to quicken the process of being able to actually use it and use it well. There's also a considerable difference between some guy knifing 80 range and chinning 99 in less than a week, than someone grinding out 99 strength for a maxed pure, which unless your no lifing, is a lot more effort to obtain.
Aside from any of that, there is also a price difference, a lot of players would agree that its much easier to get 4.5m to buy a ballista than it is to get 36mill to buy an ags.
Not everybody is in oblivion and can run sara godwars 24/7 or no life zulrah.
I have a full time job and 52 quest points on my main; can we just have a defense requirement instead of mm2......I was very happy till i seen what u had planed for that heavy ballista's reqs.. very unhappy..
doo it!
I think there should be a buff for warrior ring it's close to useless against the other rings, maybe make it a weak version with hybrid stats or when using a special attack it saves 5% special bar and when its imbued it saves 10%? I think something should be done with it.
Question: Should a confirmation message appear when releasing stackable hunter creatures?
If this doesn't have a toggle, hunting black chins will become hell, being unable to release them if needed. Salamanders will also be a lot more annoying...
"This year's Halloween Event received a fantastic response, and there were many suggestions of it becoming a permanent free-to-play addition to the game.
As a new Quest, all players would be able to take on the Killer's deadly riddles and uncover the truth. This Quest would be free-to-play for all players, and have no prerequisites to begin.
It's important to note that we would rework the quest slightly to remove mentions of Halloween, and the current cosmetic rewards would remain as time-limited seasonal items. We would replace these rewards with 600 Crafting xp, an uncut Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire, as well as 1 Quest Point.
The quest would be started exactly the same as it is now - by speaking to the injured couple in the south of Lumbridge Swamp. Those who had completed the Halloween event would need to complete it again in order to claim its rewards.
Question: Should the 2016 Halloween Event be added to Old School as a permanent free-to-play quest? This quest would reward 600 Crafting xp, an uncut Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire, and 1 Quest Point in place of the seasonal rewards."
I like where you were going with this, however it would be so much better if you made it a replayable quest (remove the one Quest Point reward), and players could simply replay the quest as many times as they
ever
wanted. Simply because Old School Runescape's 2016 Halloween event was so good, it would be a shame if it was turned into a quest that could only be completed once - it should be replayable whenever one wanted to.
Please make the miniquest repeatable (player can redo the miniquest whenever they wanted to) and remove the Quest Point reward so that we can repeat this event as often as wished!
Or alternatively, make the miniquest award one Quest Point for the first time a player completed the miniquest - but allow players to repeat the miniquest as often as they wished without any more Quest Points being awarded.
