I am so happy the G.E. will not be implemented. Trading is a skill and should be treated as such. Getting rid of it gets rid of player interaction and makes the game extremely easy. Also for you people whining about scammers, use your head. Always treat the SECOND screen as the REAL transaction, the first screen means nothing. Don't be a fool and you won't get scammed simple as that.

1 IF trading was a skill, why isn't it on the high score list. the game ISNT about trading or it would be.

2 THERE IS NO player interaction involving the vast majority of trades. the vast majority of player interactions comes from discussing thing over skill areas or monsters. claiming that ALL player interactions is based on trades proves you don't really play the game.

3) ALL most no one wanting the ge complains about the scamming, although it does prevent a lot of it. the majority of people that don't want it, want to spend their time playing instead of wasting it in trades. so take your advice and don't be a fool. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

Seems kind of silly to me that question #1 has passed and question #4 failed in the trading poll.

How is that different from that external website that we aren't allowed to mention? Why are we wasting the developers time to make something we already have?

1) that other site has no way of telling if the post are done by the person claiming they are. I was once almost killing in a dungeon because people were constantly demanding that I trade with them because they wanted to buy something I didn't even have, let alone selling it for half normal price. the constant pm's caused me to lag and I almost wasn't able to eat in time. the post told people to "SPAM ME, IM IN A NOISY AREA" and a number of people did exactly that.

2) just because someone post something there doesn't mean they are online. they might not even be playing the game, just posting to ruin prices.

3) after signing up for that site with a brand new email account (I do that when I think a site might be selling the email of their clients) I got a ton of email, so much ive total abandon that address. no one else had that email name and the spam started almost immediately. they deny it but some how their site gave away the fact that a new email account had been created. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

I wish it would, but I cant see how they will. those two would only take effect if 4 did (I think, I would love to be wrong about this). frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

This is funny.

Question 5 or 6 state that you should be able to buy part of the offer (or sell part of it) through the system (implying that you can trade through it) and it passed.

Question 4 is asking if you should be able to buy through the system, and it failed.


People have no idea what they're voting for, that vote is so contradictory. On the other hand, 75% is too much to pass. It should be around 60.

You know what this sounds like? The Grand Exchange! Just because the devs will not add the Grand Exchange to OSRS, doesn't mean you should cry about it until they add in the exact same thing under a different name! You know what automatic trading harbors? Bots. You know what OSRS has a distinct lack of? Bots. Just because you people are too lazy to take the time to wait for a trade or even lurk the forums for buyers is your own fault*

Then how about you work for your gear and materials or put a little more time into your crafting skills to make the cash you need.

A simple trading post is fine. An automatic trading system is not. Don't kill the game again because we all know what's going to happen the moment that patch hits.

100% agree but what you have are those who quit because of EoC and those who quit when free trade was removed and a lot of the EoC quitters probably never played before free trade was removed and are struggling to understand the concept of proper trading.

I quit when SoF came out and I was just about to renew membership to play old school but I won't bother wasting my money if GE is coming back because for me that is not real old school.

Trading post? The forums have always been the "trading post" for those who want to hedge their bets in selling items. I don't know why on earth there needs to be an in game system, might as well be GE if you're going to go there, and that kinda ruins the whole Falador markets and Varrok bank, also creates a huge monstrosity on the map akin to the one in the wilderness.
