"If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to add buy offers for items and let the trading post find the best match for you?"
Can someone explain this to me? This just sounds like the GE to me. It should be just like an auction house where people put up buy/sell offers, it should not "help" you with anything.

ITT - 15 year old* acting like Economists and Sociologists.

The thing is, the only ones commenting about the "Economy" should be those who have taken micro/macro and other economics classes, in University. Otherwise, you just have a broad, 50 000 foot view of what economics really are.

On the other hand, RuneScape is not an economy like a real world economy would be. Also, for anyone saying "omg I wish I had the old feeling of a community and trading omg it was a thrill", you're completely delusional.

Back in 2007, we were all 12-13 and didn't give a damn about "the thrill of community and trading".

The reason the economy is messed up is because Jagex bans bots like there's no tomorrow. It becomes a hassle to PK or PvM when the prices of major foods (ex. Sharks) go from 700gp to 1.3k in one single month. It's not that it's no longer fun, it just becomes a chore and hassle.

Additionally, because there's that short supply, I find it extremely boring buying sharks for hours on end because there's no one selling.

In conclusion, the Auction House should be exactly like the G.E, without any limits.

So you want Jagex to stop banning bots?

Ban the bots that are not related to supplies (such as strength training, etc)
Be more merciful on the bots that get the supplies that matte and that allow us to have fun at an affordable ingame price. Like I said, 1.4k for a shark from 700gp in one month is absurd, and you cannot deny it.

Also, you mentionned in one post how you can merc*/skill at the same time whereas others cannot do the same and its unfair. I agree, and that's how it should be. If you have more skills, you should be compensated, just like the real world.

Xesa I'm not talking about some complex economic theory here...its simple supply and demand. A trading system gives merchants a MUCH easier way to control the supply. You limit the supply, you drive the price up...you increase the supply the price goes down. It is really as simple as that.

You should be happy about Jagex banning bots. It brings up the value of resources like food and potions which in turn will eventually drive up the prices of high-tier armor and weapons since it will be more costly to get them. Runescape has a fairly health economy right now. Giving merchants and place to control supply would ruin that. And there wouldn't be a way to "limit" their use of it. It has to be all or nothing. Either it stays as is and you need to put a tiny bit of effort to buy or sell and item or we can have an Auction House and be at the mercy of the merchants to save our selves a little bit of time.

No bots should exist in the game, when the bots get banned and the price of sharks rise skillers have more incentive to go catch them and they will fill the void left by the bots.
People who prefer to skill should not be trying to keep up with an army of scripts and getting little rewards for their hard work. Not to mention the fact that the bots sell the gp from the shark for irl money and people who dont want to play the game properly can be on the same level as people who put endless legitimate hours in.

Please omg don't pass. People want this "trading post" to pass because well "it's too hard to sell things because it's not instant :[" they need to go back to eoc and continue to destroy that instead.

Getting to 83 slayer is taking me too long to get because it is not instant. Why don't all of us just get 99's for logging in? After all 99 takes a long time. So it can be more like eoc where a 99 really doesn't mean anything.

We also need "spins" but call it something different so we can act like it is creative. It's too hard and not instant to earn my gp. I want to earn my gp by logging in and doing a simple click.

Get ready for the new and "improved" evolution of 07 guys

Yeah, clearly the skillers filled in the void after sharks went up 100%.
