Hello everyone, I am Smith Store! As my name implies I am attempting to create a store for smith able goods to be sold. The trading system update is a VERY important subject to me personally. I am currently enrolled in secondary education for business and finance. The questions will cumulatively be addressed:
A) I personally feel and support that offline trading should be prohibited. Goods being physically traded items in runescape, if a store is closed it is closed. You should be able to place an order within the store, so say if a seller has 1000 of an item for sale. You see they are offline, but you place an order for 300/1000. When the player who is selling the good logs in they will have to decide which offers they accept/who they trade with from there. This I believe will help keep the market more stable, because "frequent trading times" or more popular times of trade will keep the sales fluid. You should also have to meet up to this, being that transferring goods should be done face to face. Travel is an issue often discussed in my trades, and because of that prices sometimes change due to distance traveled for goods/services. If we allow an instant transfer/non-traditional trade exchange we lose the value in which transportation sometimes creates.
Making bids of purchase disappear as well as sales after a set period of time should be done. This will keep fluid buyers and sellers in the market. 2 hours, so incase you leave for just a bit and can come back to see if anyone is interested. Buying parts of auctions should be allowed IF set, the option should be there. Approving the transfer of goods will be the big point in my book. An automatic transaction process removes human interface= more volatile prices/more manipulated. Remember the "pump and dump" clans we had with the ge's initial release? With instant transfers, we create monopolies who manipulate prices by creating "pump and dumps" of goods, buying and selling to themselves....-Smith Store
