Personally, I just want a system where I can get my items quickly and easily, so I can go and play the actual game. :P

A lot of people obviously prefer to drag it all out though.

Such gameplay. Very solo player. So GE. wow.

Nothing wrong with that I think. I also am more interested in the game and talking with people while skilling than looking hours for an item, crawling through bots and scammers.

Except it was fundamentally different and you were coerced into believing it was equivalent by peer pressure and bad portrayal of the new system.

Feature | Auction House | Grand Exchange
================================
Trade items offline | yes | yes
See who is selling the item | yes | no
See item quantity | yes | no
Buy partial stacks knowingly | yes | no
See long an offer has existed | yes | no

I think it has a lot to do with the fact they used old Grand Exchange assets in the mock-ups. If they would have created them from scratch, I am certain people would've viewed the AH differently.

Seems like we are much more likely to get at least some sort of trading system this way. Good job :) You will never get anything for free. Anyone claiming that is trying to scam, lure or hijack you.

Question: Should we introduce a trading post where you can post trade offers which will be visible to everyone? I believe strongly that we should only be able to see the offers from people for about 2 days, after that the person will have to reestablish a selling price because they may have an outdated buying/selling price which will just fill up the offer list. Also I would like to see a time of submission so we can know how long the offer has sat

Question: If we introduce the trading post, should players’ trade offers be visible when they are offline? The offer's should only be visible if the player is actually playing OSRS and is online at the time.

Question: If players' trades are visible when they are offline, should they be visible for more than 6 hours? Should not be visible. They need to be online to sell/buy

Question: If we introduce the trading post should players be able trade items through it rather than having to meet up to trade through the existing trade system? No, I believe the players will still have to meet up to sell and buy items. This keeps the community willing to talk to each other and bargain instead of going to a box and clicking (Buy)

The next stage of the poll is to address what features you would like when buying items from the trading post. I believe that buying and selling from the post should not be implemented into the game for the reasons I said above in the previous question.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to buy only part of a sellers offer if you want? Same as above

Question: If we introduce a trading post that matches offers for you, should your buy offers be visible when you are offline No, if a player isn't online then their offers should not be visable.

The only reason why I do not want the Auction House to be instant is for the reason that merchanting can then become something to do on the side and allows players to submit offers and go off and skill. At the moment if someone wants to merchant they must take time out of their skilling schedule and in turn sit around bargaining and advertising. This seems fair because they choose to make money using the market and do not just skill for money. Giving and instant transaction in the auction house throws this system out of whack.

The problem here is that giving players what they want, and doing what's best for the game may not be in line. I think the same thing should be said about Nightmare Zone (Players voted to keep over powered training methods with weren't intended to be in-game from the knowledge we were given out the game beforehand as they benefited from keeping it over powered. It should have been nerfed without question. I voted for a fun mini game which sounded cool, not some training method which can be afked for 6 hours and give players profit with 0 risk....... /rant)

The same thing will happen here. Players will end up voting for the option which makes the game so extremely easy.

Oh need a several hard to get quest items? - Bought in under a minute!

Want to start a merc* clan? Awesome! Buy out all the cheapest of one item with a bunch of people because as you said, buy offers might be able to connect you to the best option for you? Lets rise items and then watch them crash when we dump them! Yay!

It gives merchants more money with less work because they can sell their items whilst being offline, without trading other people and with only just one offer per item.

It will probably end up giving less profit for skillers as it did before as prices of raw materials and finished products become closer together because the market will be able to be flooded as all the items will be in one place, no trying to find players, no getting the best deal of people online at the moment, nope just an easy system which will connect you to your buyer right away.

The GE brought so many problems and we don't need all that hassle again. As I said I doubt my voice will be heard when so many people want an offline trading system and want their items to be sold without meeting in-game but it's (for most people) a selfish vote (in my opinion) which will damage the economy as well as mentality and essence of how people play the game and of skilling/ accomplishments.

This is what merchanting is and you can pretty much do this already thanks to the third party service. Flipping is what you are concerned about, but that would require actually being there and doing work.

Question: Should we introduce a trading post where you can post trade offers which will be visible to everyone? Offers will only appear when the seller is online and you will need to trade through the existing trading system.

Yes, I believe this is best of both worlds since it won't affect too much the current trading system in place.

Question: If we introduce the trading post, should players’ trade offers be visible when they are offline?

Yes but only for a short period of time, 15 to 30 minutes maximum and maybe add a tax for this feature.

Question: If players' trades are visible when they are offline, should they be visible for more than 6 hours?

No, I believe between 15 to 30 minutes is a fair amount of time.

Question: If we introduce the trading post should players be able trade items through it rather than having to meet up to trade through the existing trade system?

Yes but only if a tax system is implemented. If the player do not wish to meet in person he could pay the tax to get the item right away. If the player does not want to pay the tax he must meet the other player.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to buy only part of a sellers offer if you want? For example, if the seller is selling 1,000 of an item, you can buy only 100 if you wish.

Yes but it would be up to the seller to set the minimum buy amount on his products. It should be an option that you set when you want to sell something.

Question: If we introduce a trading post through which you are able to buy items, should you be able to add buy offers for items and let the trading post find the best match for you?

No, searching for various offers and striking a good deal should not be automated.

Question: If we introduce a trading post that matches offers for you, should your buy offers be visible when you are offline?

No.
