When did old school become a bunch of whiners? The thing that ruined previous runescape for us was the eoc combat system; this is just a new skill, not some major combat overhaul. I don't see how this ruins any aspect of the game; in fact, this version of the skill seems pretty balanced to me.

Stop making it sound like this is some kind of deal-breaker, and quit crying wittle babies!!!!!

Vote yes!

A good amount of people quit long before EoC, the new combat system was only the nail in the coffin for a game which was a complete mess years beforehand.

I'm still voting no because:

1. The combination catalytic runes sound OP

2. The shortcuts sounds too much like RS3 lodestones

3. Artisan means to create, or craft, not to gather

4. Artisan is a bad idea for a skill

Sorry but you're just hularious what an idiot.

1/ Erm they'll probably just save you an inventory space when using spells like ancients hardly OP.

2/ Lodestones teleport you with no requirement whatsoever, where as shortcuts will require actual leveling and will probably still not be as used.

3/ If you read the thread you do craft and create items, you just need to gather first in order to level.

4/ Haven't even given it a chance and also I doubt you even read the thread LMAO

This can only be done when youre on an artisans task, as said in the blog

Where do you see them say that?

"Here are some of the concepts we have for some of the items you can make while doing artisan. Your feedback is much appreciated as are any ideas you have for items that you would like to be able to make."

That doesn't exactly pinpoint to you have to be on that task. It would be useless content otherwise. That would be the same as saying you cannot kill abyssal demons unless you are assigned that task.

It should rather be at and I assume it will be otherwise there is no real benefit to leveling Artisan is that at X level of Artisan you can perform * task below. I.e. You can learn how to create combination runes at level 70 Artisan or Slow Burner logs at 30 Artisan.

Definitely yes from me. I hope that this skill will pass.
One thing I dislike, is the fact that construction shortcuts can break. I'm not really in favour of always bringing hammer with me. Maybe add a way to add permanent shortcuts? Like add base to it or something.

Make charcoal obtainable by using logs on a special furnace

Having a box nearby with spare parts to fix a bridge

against totems

To combine runes you need to visit the altars of all the runes

yesss muddy chest should have something to get some tasks started or items upgraded

Altered potions too OP, maybe potions will last longer. normally you lose 1 boost per min, this could be changed to 1 boost per 2 mins

Skilling potion: i see supersupercompost more an option. More like feed a cow product X, hold a bucket behind the cow and this will give extra harvest

No new herbs, just give those karamja and low lvl herbs some use.

New reward suggestion:
ability to attach a tinderbox to a hatchet, autoburning the logs but you might set the tree on fire. Giving good firemaking xp but fire department will kick your ass.

Better herbs: Gives potions with slight boosts (like the cooking stuff)

If i had to have some input on this skill, it would be that i think many people would enjoy if it wasn't a "I have a lot of money i can buy my way to 99" Please make acquiring the resources necessary. Kinda like Slayer, in slayer you cant simply buy all the materials you would need for 99 and get it, you actually have to earn it.

Actually, a lot of that had to do with the increased banning of bots. Runescape was at it highest in "actual" players pre-eoc. Also, most of the people who have been there from the beginning, just got older and moved on with other aspects of their life. It had little to nothing to do with the state of the game, and more to do with the generation of players getting older and moving on. I do agree, however, that eoc was the last straw.
