You know what's worse than muling? Having absolutely zero player base because there are a ton of people who populate the game the first couple weeks through swapping, and people who actually enjoy playing with a couple friends in a group(not a giant clan) who are now prohibited from doing so.
I wish people would open their eyes and realize this didn't work in 2007 and it isn't going to work now. Removing a vital component of the game is not advantageous, except to the solo man mode OSRS has apparently become. If people want this so bad, they should make a SEPARATE SERVER FOR SOLO DEADMAN MODE, and not have the rest of the normal community suffer for what is already failed content.

yes people basically cheat because of swapping that causes more problems because big teams like rot buy their way in and cause more issues then you got the other form of cheaters that hide all their valuables on mules and never lose anything when doing dangerous stuff so its unfair I rather see less players because they're the ones that cheat as it would be easier to get shit done the first few days with shit not crow'd and server lag. deadman mode is fun mostly as a solo big teams make this game mode much much harder because they camp high value shit so yes I want team taken down a major notch. You still have the ge and with dmm if someone dies in your group I mean you can actually still help them by protecting them while they make money back its not that hard use your damn brain solo deadman wouldn't work ever as they would have to go around and remap everything that's multiarea

Not sure if anyone has suggested this before but I think a possible way to assist people starting deadman mode seasonals late is to introduce some sort of daily experience cap or time cap to stop people from account sharing and/or grinding so many hours in the first weeks of deadman mode to get so far ahead. Without some sort of action in place to stop people account sharing or straight out playing so many hours in the early stage of the season latecomers will never be able to catch up and enjoy deadman mode.

Really don't see anyone playing the server with these changes. Why dump time into something when you'll lose it all in a month? The time should be extended to 1.5->2 months unless you have 0 confidence that the server can last. As someone who played season 1 and thoroughly enjoyed it though I know that DMM has a lot of potential. You should really be looking for solutions to the root causes of complaints as opposed to the complaints themselves, though.

Limiting trade will not work out. Unfortunately it will probably have an even more adverse effect where swappers that get around the trade barriers will have an even larger advantage over the average player and RWTers will make even more money ROI from the now blackmarket swapping. Instead of trying to stop swapping you should really be looking at why people swap in the first place and why people are against swappers.

I'm pretty sure the main issue with swapping is clans that funnel all their supplies to a couple mages and people that swap for chinchompas/barrows gear + bis gear/alchs. I don't think anyone will complain if someone swaps in order to rebuild after a death in all honesty, in fact the majority of players may actually be okay with it. The gap between rag and rune is nowhere near the gap between rag and GWD/barrows.

Swapping gives incentive for casuals to play, but enormous advantages gained via swapping are toxic to the game. Right now most people would have no reason to participate in this seasonal at all. You get nothing tangible out of it and everyone knows it'll die.

I would suggest reduced XP rates from chins/alch/barrage and other expensive spells. Disabling high tier weapons/gear is probably the most logical next step afterwards and the reception for the Zulrah change is overwhelmingly positive. Ask around and see if players are okay with GWD and maybe barrows being disabled and XP rates for expensive training routes that encourage swapping slashed.
