I'm sorry what part of copying and pasting the GE into regular deadman mode has high development cost? I don't even play DMM and this just seems incredibly stupid to me. It's already in oldschool and you are PUTTING it in DMM seasonal... What....how....who....I can't even.

Also you gotta be kidding with introducing the update that single handedly cut the RS population by 2/3rd's into SDMM. No trading? I'm having quite the laugh that you don't actually think this will be bypassed within the first 24 hours. LOLOLOLOL

If you or anyone else doesn't thin no trading outside of GE is fair, then your just butthurt that muling won't be so easy for you anymore. Don't play then.

I for one was very tired of playing fair on my one account and watching other people blatantly mule.

I was tired of crap keys because everyone was muling.

If you think this is easily avoidable you are dead wrong. The only way this could still be exploited is by players skulling on their bogus account. BUT that also paints a HUUUGE target on their mains head. Anyone with barrage would smile :) Loot lost on your main is a permanent setback now.

You understand that permanent set-backs will result in players quitting faster resulting in the game dying faster, right?

Player dies -->has no way to rebuild other than mindless grinding while the players who killed him get further and further ahead --> creating a pointless feeling for the player who died resulting in 1 less player on DMM. Now imagine this at a larger scale(which is the case), in a week, the player population won't be down to the normal couple hundred, it'll be down to maybe 100 per world.

Not trading is not going to pan out at all, and come season 4(Assuming they don't adjust it for season 3) it will be re-implemented, I guarantee it. They already made this mistake in 2007, and anyone who has been around long enough will agree with me.

Swapping/Muling isn't going to stop, people are just going to make extra accounts with wealth on them to kill later, and are going to use the GE to quickly swap out all bank contents into higher value items to flood their safe box with resulting in no loot lost on death. Swapping will not be stopped, in fact players WILL find a way to do it via random items in the GE having nonsense base prices, and the result? The players/clans doing so will create larger gaps(re-see parapraph 2).

Just wondering if anyone can confirm that the next season will start on the 25th of this month. The blog post that was posted on the 6th says the next season will be within the next few weeks which means anytime from now to the 26th but it also states it will be at the end of the month. So which is it?

Combatting the mule/swapping is great, but there's a huge issue being overlooked.

As one of the combatants in the Season 2 Tournament, Saradomin Brews (and to a lesser extent, prayer pots and super sets) were the well-known deciding factor in how long you survive in the finale. Gold became worthless leading up to the finale, and many players traded other USEFUL items for supplies they needed.

Removing trade from the DMM Tournaments guarantees that no essential supplies will trade on the last day, possibly sooner. "Merchanting" will basically become a requirement for those that plan on being competitive in the finale.

I also see this being easy enough to exploit. In addition to skillers protecting their few high-level skills, they could easily be killed for whatever gold or items they have to transfer items to their main, sell a few "junk" items in their bank left over, use that gold to buy raw materials, and continue skilling. Have an item/stack you don't want transferred to your main? Drop it before being killed, then pick it up within the 60 second window.

Additionally, the first thought in my mind if I were being chased by a clan for, say, a Torag/Guthan helm would be to unequip and DROP it on the ground.

Clans are pretty powerful during the tournament, but both previous winners have been solo players.

As a DMM player, I like all these changes EXCEPT the trading being disabled. Although I see why, I think it should be more like a trade limit anything.. Sometimes when I'm with my friends and we're low on food, it's nice just to give a few sharks when someone is in need rather than running all the way to a bank. Also, if you see a player offering an item that you need, not wanting to go all the way to GE is just nice considering the trek to GE in the first week is often filled with PKers. I mean, Season 2, I was fighting rock crabs and got rekt by RoT and my friend gave me a Drag Long to help me rebuild. Just seems kinda stupid to remove that. People will be more likely to rage quit if they can't rebuild.
