I was under the impression that the artisans skill was gonna be something you can't go out and buy, i thought tasks were gonna be something like "chop 250 maple logs" not "buy 250 maple logs and bring them back to me for xpees" I don't understand why herblore is on the list of skills, unless you have to gather your own herbs and 2nds etc make the pots yourself, again not simply going out there and buying the materials. I love the sound of artisans, but we need to have mining/hunter/woodcut/fishing.

Basically it should be a self-sufficient skill, the rich shouldn't be able to get 99 in 1 week.

at first i got really excited about this skill, but as i read the players view of things, i may say no too...

I don't like the idea of being forced to go do something as an task, that's why i don't really like slayer ether, i think that if the skill wasn't task-based but more like crafting, with all those skills mentioned

Like you could make wood carvings to place in your house with high enough woodcutting, crafting, and construction. make clothing, not only clothing that's only beneficial but cosmetic clothing too, i'd love some more fancy clothing!

This way we could choose what skills to train with this new artisan skill, we wouldn't feel forced to train certain skills, and players would gain extra money from selling materials needed for the skill. if this was the way the skill was set up it could probably become one of my favorite skills! :D

The idea seems sound enough for me. Gives me more motivation to train my skills higher, and if the task length is right, then right when im starting get immensly bored ill get to do something new. I also like that new clothes are being added, i like having a good looking skilling outfit.

The food enchancement should be raised to +2 in my opinion, +1 just doesnt seem that good for some reason :p .

a point system for task block and the option to disable task at 99 in an involved skill i think is also a good idea. Should be able to trade the points for experience in involved skills as well.
