A big fat no, sorry. I think you can do way better than this. How about just improving fps/game fluidity? Hit/Miss ratios. 150 new items for treasure trails and nowhere to put em. Come on Ladies and Gents make what you have NOW better, don't add more stuff to be tweaked later, please.

I'm going to speak as a veteran of this game because I'm tired of seeing some people who do this every time there is new content. Stop just saying NO and giving reasons dealing with *This isn't RS 2007 or it isn't old school anymore*. The idea behind old school was to give players who didn't approve of the eoc combat a way to still enjoy runescape without being FORCED to learn abilities. Eoc destroyed pking which to a point is a major part in the game...however pvm isn't all that bad and I only like it for that aspect but even though I did little pking....I understand why you quit because I did too. When they said they had a way for us to play without eoc combat...it was only going to be dated back from 2007 files or whatever. No one specifically said....omg ewww I hate eoc and want runescape from 2007 back.....we all just wanted the old combat system. LUCKILY is was 2007 and not in 08 during the banning of free trade/wildy and ge.....and I do agree about fixing current content vs adding new stuff. This has been something that's angered me since I got into runescape more in 2004. However.....new content voted by US has grew this game greatly. On release of course the servers hit 20k players but now it almost has 20k everyday. Months ago it was only 9k or so at peak which means the community voting has been great. We all wanted the game to get better graphics...new skills...monsters etc but not a new combat system. We asked for items to help other combat styles fair better against OP ones....not a new combat system. With old school...the game is referred as the OLD COMBAT SYSTEM. I for one hate the concept of the new skill but i shared ideas on page 52 and 53 that may help you guys like it. Please stop posting just NO without valid reasons behind it. If you have ideas please share them. We have been trusting our community since release and I 100% know this won't pass in it's current state but I really do HATE for such a great idea to be abandoned.

To be honest it's not gonna be oldschool if you add something like a new skill. Total levels will change.

In my eyes this skill is useless and a waste of time and space. I'm going to vote no.

Perhaps if it was something interesting and rewarding I would vote yes despite this being oldschool RS. But I seriously doubt that you can release something useful/exciting with the community's approval. Most will say no if it was too rewarding and useful and most will also say no if it was barely rewarding.

Just drop the idea of adding a new skill.

Just my opinion.

If people really want some of the rewards that this skill offers so bad then I can suggest something.

Maybe release the minigame "Stealing Creation" and make it offer these rewards?

It doesn't have to have the sacred clay equipment/armor/tools if the community doesn't feel comfortable with it.

The armor and equipment degrade pretty fast anyway and they give like 24k bonus xp only.

1 Stealing Creation game is about 15-20mins if I remember correctly.

And the maximum you can get is like 26 points each game I think? Or something along these lines. And 1 tool costs like 20 points.

It's not a crazy boost given that it takes time to earn these points.

It's going to be fun.

People will most likely do it to make training skills like crafting and construction
cheaper... Should save them some money but remember! It's NOT like EVERYONE is gonna do stealing creation. Some people don't care.

But then again if the community still votes no to sacred clay stuff then I'm sure the minigame can offer alternative rewards but they HAVE to be useful and worth the time if you want to give the players a reason to use them! Otherwise it's going to be dead content.

I love the skill Idea and really want it to be added to 07. However I really think you guys should seriously reconsider the skills effects on combat. I feel it should strictly be for skilling and nothing to do with combat. It seems alot of the combat relations with artisan are really overpowered and would be bad for pvming.

Other than that, I am excited for this skill, just as long as you change it up.

i like the idea of a new skill, but i don't like that you can't choose what you do. that's why i liked the other skills more. if i don't want to do farming in forestry, the forest wouldn't be 100%, but that's not a main problem. if i get a farming task, i can't do anything.

a NO, unless the skill changes quite a lot

I'm sorry but I think that the concept of this skill has been completely ruined. This skill greatly depends on other skills and loses its independence. Yes we have skills like Fletching where you can make bows to use for ranging however making that bow depends on your fletching lvl not your ranged lvl. Using the bow depends on your ranged lvl which is how it should be. Fletching is independent but uses other skills to help create items and this is how Artisan should be.

The concept here has turned Artisan into a Slayer meets Dungeoneering skill which in a word 'Sucks". You should not be forced to use those other skills just to raise Artisan.
