why should another skill be added? there is no point of one. especially one like this that honestly looks too dumb along with its rewards.

yeah lets make 07 easier! adding new items to the game that give 15% more damage that can be stacked with slayer helms, rings & pking. WOOT. yes so good. woot yeah!!

stop.

I don't like the "Creature Idols" at all. They just boost damage to NPCs and players.. we don't need that and I personally do not want that. I would just drop that whole concept. I don't see that being related to crafting things or artisan at all, just unneeded and unwanted damage boosts.

I also don't like "Inspired Carvings" for double ores or the other idea of double runes from runecrafting.

I would prefer perhaps like when agility was updated, having higher artisan results in a slight chance of extra ore when mining or a small amount of extra runes when runecrafting - while still increasing this chance slightly with the craftable clothing. (strong emphasis on a slight chance, and also a small amount of extra runes)

I like the idea of superior items for cooking and fletching. Make the superior version untradable.
The idea of a small benefit for collecting your own resources sounds very appealing to me.

"Motes of Inspiration" don't really sound crucial to the skill. They are required to make certain items, but there is also Artisan level requirements. Training artisan and getting motes are things that are done in parallel and are basically accomplishing the same thing. They just don't sound very important for the skill, they seem like they could be done away with while having little or no impact.

+1

And it also messes up the entire economy, making the rich richer and the rest is all grinding

I love the concept of this new skill: a non-cb version of slayer, PERFECT!

But there are so many design flaws...

"For example an artisan master may ask you to create 100 vials and give you artisan XP equal to the crafting XP you got from creating the vials."

Why would I want to craft vials? It is slow crafting xp therefore it will be slow artisans xp. The same goes for any runecrafting task you give; rc is a slow skill in contrast to fletching/cooking. I would not do any rc task and instead opt for cooking/fletching. You need to create a tiered system for these skills if you're looking to implement this skill.

The artisan tools: great concept, poorly implemented. Why would a player opt to use these tools when they can use dragon axes/picks? Rearrange these tools so that they include the original equivalent: I.E beginners hatchet: steel pickaxe + motes. The motes act as an item that upgrade the steel pickaxe. Include an additional axe/pick that is the equivalent to dragon otherwise this is useless for the majority of your current player base.

Esoteric clothing? Sounds neat that it'll improve how we cook/fletch/rc. For rc though, this isn't an improvement if it doesn't come with weight reducement. Create a new esoteric clothing that includes weight reduction; we could have to use our graceful items to make it.

Keep this skill simple and worthwhile to use otherwise it won't pass the poll. Keep the skill as similar to slayer as you can - implement a points system.

@Ginos Slave Very nice and constructive i have to agree with alot of what you said aside from the last point i don't really want higher tier resources. I believe this is being turned down mostly on what it currently offers then what it doesnt do well i would like to suggest we do a poll to remove content already in the skill then a poll to add content much of which has already been suggested here and are excellant ideas

I'm not really sure what people want since they say "no" for so many different reasons.
I think this skill has a good potential to become something that'd fit perfectly into old school.

A few tips regarding pvp:
- Do not let dragon arrows become too OP. They already have the potential to one hit anyone without 99hp.
- Do NOT! let any melee item hit any higher in pvp. It's already possible to 2 hit people with decent gear. Ags should be the most powerful weapon available in pvp. I think most people remember what claws and chaotics made wildy into, and that's defenitly something I don't want OSRS turning into. The same goes for any defensive armour. Items like spirit shields with reduced dmg taken isn't something that fits nicely into OSRS pvp.

i would give feedback but im a brainless moron and if i was smart enough i would know the correct feedback to give.. but i dont exactly know the correct words or the right words to properly type or what pieces of the content would need fixing or improvements or what else would be better to add.

Possibly the only reason why i might of voted for artisans skill in the first place over the other skills is i just liked the idea of maybe having a skilling version to slayer as i enjoy all types of skills and enjoy training all types of skills and thought it would be nicer and funner to do as it would be a version of slayer but a way to train all or most skills together to make it much more fun but rather then being assigned monsters you'd be assigned to do skills for a certain limit of time or resourses to complete for the skill selected while also gaining xp in the new skill "Artisans".
