This update hurts to read. Its nice to see a raid, but this is really taking away the old school feel of rs. Adding insignias and completely devaluing the entire agility stat make me sad. Taking poisen and run from prayer instead of hp and energy? Who allowed that idea to come this far?

Osrs can't import the rest button but can add a function that devalues agility even more in favor of the super sich?

Shame. I've loved this game for over a decade, but these new proposals have me worried. The ideas of making the plate require the chain to smelt are spot on. It would be just like the dragon Sq was when it was a staple of the game.

Also please don't make this raid completeable by one person. I find it disheartening that the strongest monsters in game can all be killed solo.

But still, couldn't be more thankful to you guys at jagex for resurrecting osrs. If i have to deal with even cockier, even richer and even more pompous people because of these proposed update so be it.

Nice work! Im really hyped for raids! Even though im fairly low level on osrs, still it would be fun to see something like this on old school. It really removes the nostalgia, but who could get that either way, since zulrah, boss pets, zeah monkey madness 2, new weapons, ect. Oh, and new prayers! Thats why I play RS3, osrs is not nostalgic and enjoyable to me anymore, unfortunately.

Could also provide a passive effect similar in style to the Leviathan ring in RS3. Here's my suggestion:

When worn, has a 15% chance of reducing a single hit dealing 25+ damage by 50% (or 30%, if 50 seems too powerful.)

Example hits with the effect activating - a hit of 25 would be reduced by 50% to 12, or by 30% to 17. A single hit of 40 would be reduced by 50% to 20, or by 30% to 28. A hit of 50 would be reduced to 25 (or 35 if 30%). A hit of 68 would be reduced to 34 (or 47 if reduced by 30%).


Also, when worn with the Elysian spirit shield: If the shield's effect activates, final damage received is also reduced by 1-3, subject to balancing

I like the idea of raids, I think it would bring a little bit of life back in to clans/clan chats (make it impossible to solo) insignias is a bad idea they seem too overpowered IMO. Preserve/rigor/augury seem pretty good others make agility not worth training and the poison is pointless.

I think we do need higher level items in game as there's a big gap between 75-99 but 75 def/mage is too low. Make it 80 or 85 mage/def. Could do same with range/melee in future.

All in all should be pretty decent if they get it right.

I think the two largest complaints I have with all of these items are pretty universal.
No quest/reqs outside of combat.
The power creep is becoming apparent.
I think the best way to do this is to add quests and have quest requirements to use any of the drops.
The prayers need to be accuracy only and add a minor def bonus, the venom/poison ones should seriously delay the damage in exchange for high prayer point drain. The Auras, wait sorry, the insignias, need to be dropped. The effects of the insignias seem to be better as a full set bonus, not a quiver slot item. The new mage robes would be cool if they added something actually different to the game instead of new BIS. Why not hybrid gear? Why not give us gear that gives modest bonuses to all styles, too worried about devaluing void?
Also, the dragon plate not having any reqs other than money and def lvl is a slap in the face. I hated when the D full helm came out and there wasn't a quest involved to use it.
Add content through quests! Stop casualizing the game for the low effort players.

Personally, I don't want Raids in OSRS at all. But I also think many of these rewards are overpowered and/ or risky.


-Insignias are too much of a power creep and too much like auras from RS3 for me to accept them in OSRS.
-The dragon sword just makes me think of OSRS Jagex's terrible job at balancing the dragon warhammer. I am not going to support any more dragon equipment until Jagex nerfs and balances the warhammer.
-Kodai robes are overpowered. You're making new BiS magic gear without the degrading drawback of its predecessor.
-Divine Grace and Poison Absorb would devalue stamina and antipoison potions. I don't want the only use for herblore to be making prayer potions.




Honestly, the only idea on this list I'd tolerate is Preserve. Making stat boosts last longer with prayer seems acceptable to me (as long as it doesn't work on prayer boosts).
