I thought that the purpouse of creating 07 servers was to bring back old players by offering the game like it once was. Reading about the new skill makes me and many other old players sad. I'm not saying that game don't need any updates, but out of all content you guys chose a new skill? I mean NEW skill, not like a sum or dung wich have already been tested.
And as oldschool mods said in rs youtube video, 2007 is focused what the players want not so much about what the developers team in jagex would like to do, therefor I would have expected "none of these" option in the poll...

I really hope that once the second poll about the new skill comes out, we will have the option to vote against new skill.

Stop it with the summoning already. Its a dumb and pointless skill and so is dungeoneering. If you want those, go and play the new runescape, and stop b******* about it. Why the **** do you even play osrs if you want it to be like the new rs??? Stop wanting to ruin the game.

Anyway, upon carefully reading all the skills, foresting is definitely my favourite. Instead of being a task system for skills (artisan), foresting is its own skill, but better utilizes other skills. There is also a great opportunity to make really beautiful and detailed environments, and something you normally don't see in osrs. But the other skills were pretty well thought out too, maybe a bit too complicated, but good.

I don't get what the other players want exactly, or what they are looking for, maybe they're just too stupid to accept new ideas, and don't like to think and decide for themselves.

I keep noticing the first choice in the votes always get the most votes =( . Its either because people are too lazy to read all the skills, or because they're just lazy. I bet you a 100 dollars if you could make them all read the skills, and change the sequence of skills every time you refresh the vote page, the result would be much different.

Artisan:
I read through all of the Artisan skill very carefully because I already knew that was the kind of skill I wanted to see in-game. I was not disappointed at all with that skill. (the rewards could use a bit of work though)

Astronomy:
Not gona lie. Didn't get very far into this skill. Having a quest requirement like the Observatory completed to begin a skill is a very bad idea... It would keep me and other lvl 3 skillers or pures from being able to enjoy it.

Forestry:
I really tried to give this one a chance. It looked very interesting. The whole combat based part of it leaves me feeling uncertain however. It also feels like to much of a mini-game to be a real skill.

Geomancy:
This one was sooooooooo long. Also had a quest requirement. At this point nothing was going to beat what I originally wanted in a skill... (aka- Artisan)
TLDR. Sorry!

Herding:
This one was a joke... right?

Got excited for nothing.. These are possibly 5 of the most awful skills I have ever seen, if artisan makes it, im quitting, its basically "this is every skill combined into one" "do other skills to get this up" stupidest thing ive ever seen, good job..pathetic -Straw hat Pirates Crew

Just bring back summoning. I enjoyed that skill, and really liked having a familiar to help with skills and combat.

You could tweak the skilling familiars to give a bit more benefit to skills, thus promoting existing content.

The problem with summoning was that it took way too long to collect charms. The combination of the exorbitant time along with the very high cost of training summoning is what kills this particular skill.

Artisan
Slayer with skills? Kind of meh.

Astronomy
Meh.

Forestry
This sounds interesting and definitely one with most potential out there, together with the geomancy. Just imagine having access to things like a very high level slayer dungeon in a high level forest, that would be awsome, but obviously is a massive undertaking.

Geomancy
I honestly don't think any imbuing is neccessary. Just make it archeology and it would be fine. But I like the idea of finding and furbishin* ancient equipment, wether it be for skilling or combat.

Herding
Meh.
