I would have to agree with the majority here. Although these skills have had a lot of effort put into them, none of them really appeal to me. A new skill for me is something I would want to level to 99. With these skills I can't say I can see myself wanting to max them.
As far as a new skill goes I can't see the problem with a new skill, it just has to be right. It has to be something that suits OSRS and not just thrown in. As for bringing summoning or DGing back neither of these skills are suited to OSRS.
I would like to see more of a competition with this new skill idea. With over 400 applications surely we could have more options!!
I want to personally thank these 5 PDC skill designers along with the other 400+ people who entered an idea to better the game! I enjoyed reading all of this new content idea and each skill idea had a facet/facets that could really help benefit 07! I believe Slayer has been overly voted the favorite skill of 07 players. After reading the Artisan skill (1st) I personally loved the idea! I had never thought of a concept such as this and it really would help bring to life and rejuvenate certain aspects of non-cb skills. I read the others fairly as well, but the Artisan skill for me was my favorite, followed by Herding. Artisan skill needs to be looked over by the community and Jagex then implemented into action. I just voted and as of now, it had a 47% popularity vote compared to the 10-20% equally shared by the other 4 skills! Again, thanks for all the great ideas and go Artisan!

To those saying Artisan is just a task system - what does that make slayer?
You could say that, Slayer have unlockable monsters to slain, Dark Beast, Abyss Demons, Artisan don't have that. Rewards for Artisan's skill is crap too, needs massive improvement.

Artisan sounds like the best choice but with the introduction of effigies, I feel like it would become too easy. Why not just introduce new potions to the her lire skill to provide the boosts? We already have potions for fishing and (hunter?), why not woodcutting, etc? I remember on RS3 effigies made spilling way too easy for me.
I like the idea of Forestry a lot, the Clan Citadels were quite fun in RS3, I didn't enjoy the fact that it had me work hard just to be able to make others happy in my clan, here I could do as I please and relax. Seeing that Artisian is winning already makes me sad.
What it looks like to me is those job-assignments like in RS3, which I hated.
Perhaps I will change my view, or you guys could perhaps merge the two ideas, have a forest in which we have to work - keep the forest healthy by cutting down 3 infected yew trees, make bird houses out of the logs and get 3 pairs of birds to move in into a few bird houses.
Knowing you guys won't read it, perhaps other players could spread this idea.
Got to agree with the person who's posted the Forestry video 1000 times (But I understand why now) The skill does sound quite interesting when it was explained through the video. Having the option to make it a more personal or social experience I thought was great. It sounds solid so I'll give my vote to Forestry.
