Btw, to all those who claim the *old* coinshare system caused inflation. It did not happen at least in 2009. And it will only cause inflation under certain conditions.
More money in the game does not mean inflation. Here is a simple example:
If there is only 1 AGS in the game and the economy has 1b GP in total, the AGS may worth a lot because it is scarce.
What if there is 100 AGS in the game and the economy has 1b? Do you think AGS will worth more? "More" is in relative sense, if items like ags or tassets are generated faster than cash, they will go down. Coinshare/Instantshare/Shardshare encouraged more people pvm and increase the supply of these BIS items.
Also, coinshare only generate more cash than expected when this happen:
A bcp split @13m, however it does not sell on GE because its actual value is 10m. Extra 3m is generated.
Yes, cash is generated here, but why actual value is 10m instead of 13m? It is probably because more pvm make these drops more common. So more money is generated, but is this inflation?
More cash is generated but it will not make your BIS stuff more expensive (look at 2009 prices). It will make items which aren't affected by coinshare more expensive (especially those related to bossing).
Reason:
More people go bossing, they need more p pot but ranarr supply is not affected by more people killing graador. So these will become more expensive. Same goes for barrows items or sharks etc. which aren't impacted by more people killing bosses.
At the end it makes stuff balanced, bossing becomes more convenient and profit may went down. People who spend time fishing or farming ranarr makes more money. BIS items became cheaper for everyone.
