This is the skill update that will end all updates:

Trolling

Level 1: Start trolling smaller areas in Runescape Community, such as forums.

Level 50: Start trolling clan chats and people around you.

Level 99: You can use the - ::Yell command and troll everyone.

Level 1+: Start trolling RSC (yes, this is Trolling+ which, it is kind of like "New Game +", which means you have access to RSC!)

Level 50+: Start trolling all clan chats at once with command = ::TACC

Level 99+: You can use the - ::noclip to go anywhere and troll anything and everyone!

Best thing about this skill is everybody will be level 99+ in no time and plus the skill cape (have to be 99+) would be as long as you have the cape and the hood equipped you turn into a giant ugly troll...

I can't help but thinking that this whole idea is a terrible mistake. It seems like you guys are just scrambling to keep finding new things to add to Old School, and this really is going to far. We shouldn't be having some big new thing every month, even if most things are getting 75%. Also, I have a feeling that if this passes it will be too big of a job for you guys to implement it at the same quality of the rest of the game. I don't want to see some new skill shoved in haphazardly. Sorry, but I just can't imagine myself voting for a new skill, whatever it is.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'd like a skill where you can basically transform into like a half human half animal hybrid. It could be like summoning, where you have to get specific materials to make certain things, but when you transform into the animal-human hybrid you'll take on some attributes of the animal and maybe lose some attributes as a human? Of course for every animal you'll need certain things like to make a rabbit human you'll need like rabbit meat and fur. Maybe it's a good idea, maybe not, but it'd be pretty cool to see.

I am mainly an RS3 player, but I will give my two cents on this.

I think if there should be a release of a new skill, if at all, it must be sailing . The idea of a sailing skill has been around for nearly a decade, and it would be a pity not to implement it now.

Base it off of player owned ports, but allow players to build their own ships from scratch, and visit new islands that THEY CAN ACTUALLY WALK ON. Upon reaching new islands, you can unlock the full features of the island, such as resource areas, banks, shops, training areas, etc.

This skill should mostly be an exploration skill, so no new resources/ gear needs to be added. That way, it would maintain the authenticity of 07.

For those who are saying it is too early:

Do you know how long it would take to develop a well-designed skill? It probably won't be out till this Winter/Fall (some may take longer).

I will more than likely vote yes to any skill that passes Jagex approval because content drives the game.

Here's what I submitted:

Dowsing Skill

Using the dowsing skill, players can find hidden resources and point out NPCs from which you can potentially steal more loot from and enemies that have a higher probability of dropping better loot. To start leveling the skill, you obtain a Dowsing Rod, which can function similarly to the Locate function on a talisman, and you then talk to various NPCs (like in thieving) starting with Men and Women perhaps and use your Dowsing Rod to find hidden sources of water for them, like a mini-miniquest. As you level up, you have higher chance of succes and range in you can dowse and you can dowse for other resources and items for other NPCs in other locations. At higher levels you can use the skill to find resources like hidden caves with ore veins perhaps, or hidden groves with high-leveled trees. And I bet many players have thought in hindsight when killing enemies and wondering,"I wonder if I killed that one instead would I have gotten a better drop?" Well, using a different Dowsing Rod, you can point out enemies that will have a higher chance of dropping rarer loot.

Thoughts?
