How about you people actually try reading the post?

It says there will be two polls. The first will be to vote on the best/most-popular skill idea. Then the second will be a poll to see if the new skill will be introduced into the game or not.

Which means that adding a new skill is NOT set in stone. It can still be vetoed and the game will remain the same.

So how about you guys stop complaining, and actually wait to see the ideas? There could be some amazing idea that comes around that all of you might want. And if not, then just vote no and nothing will change. .

Also, to everyone who can't comprehend why they would possibly be trying to add a new skill into 'Oldschool/2007 Runescape', games HAVE to have updates and progression in order to stay alive. Jagex is giving us, the player base, the overwhelming majority say in how this game progresses, or doesn't progress.

Besides the whole 'Rares will no longer be rare' decision (which we're still upset about, Jagex -.-), I can't think of any times when they have done a major update without a 75% poll of the players thoughts.

Having these polls for a possible new skill, which, by the way, is also our own ideas, is just another way to see what we want. They have to do these polls, because otherwise how would they ever know if we really wanted it or not?

Bottom line, without progression, this game will eventually die out. So Jagex is choosing to give us the power over how it changes. What else do you people want from them?

It should be something PvP based.

I was thinking along the idea of having a fort or a castle. You will be able to "construct" this fort with team members or solo and be heavily rewarded for fighting and defeating other teams. Basically mini castle wars but the soul purpose is to destroy the other team and destroy their fort with whatever possible.

Options could include how many re-spawns, types of combat, wager on victory, safe or dangerous combat, etc.

This would bring more action into the game, raise demand for all gear. You can even throw in the foundation needs magic logs or some crap, that will increase demand.

I put key emphasis on the game runescape rewarding kills on top of loot or whatever options or wages were chosen off opponents. This will motivate people to participate more consistently and actively because its now a skill.

Tailoring

Make magic boosting gear and capes

Since we have Smithing for melee gear and Crafting for Ranged gear.

This skill would support skills like Combat , Hunting, Farming , thiefing (silk for example) and ofc magic!

To gain levels you have to Tailor items. This would be a good idea for new quests to maybe a king needs his stuff tailored with magic boosting stuff at a wedding because dark wizards are a threat?

This skill would work like Smithing , Crafting where you have to gather the gear then produce the items. The higher level the better the items become.

Monsters could drop Magic items or mats the magic items can be disenchanted and a mat would be given to you that would be 1 part of the mat that you would need to "tailor" a selected "cloth item" (robes and such).

Some one could expand on this idea to make it sound more appealing but i do think we need a skill to make magic boosting gear

Taming skill, the idea of this would be to tame any certain monsters in the game so you can have them as pets to travel on to get around quicker. Lets just say you right click a monster and click "tame" if you fail you are damaged for massive damage.
