sorry but i feel like you guys are kind of ruining oldschool with all these updates. especially when there is so many bug problems that need to be attended to. i play oldschool because of how runescape used to be and i would like it to stay that way instead of going on another runescape3 path. a few updates are cool but all this new stuff and talk of a new skill i think is going to ruin this game and you will see not as many people playing it again. a few updates here and there like the clan wars and bank tabs is good maybe make them a little more spaced out, these updates are just too common.

p.s. please try and fix the problem of when you try and talk to a banker, alot of the time you end up running away from the bank.

How about Bot spotting id be 99 in that skill first day... i know i'm not ready for a new skill maybe a new mini game but i feel like theirs a lot of minor updates to improve the game. Also BOTS BOTS BOTS EVERYWHERE!!!! i want to take care of them before we open a new skill that will eventually allow them to have another unfair advantage in a new skill. Also why rule out summoning and dungeoniring? the reason everyone left was cause of EOC i enjoyed both of those skills. This is just my opinion, also why does it seem everyone wants horseback riding as a skill i'd rather have squeel of fortune and buying spins before i play a game where horseback riding is a skill.

Your arguments make no sense whatsoever, i suggest you just quit right away before another update is released, you lack all common sense, the reason this topic even exists is because enough people voted for a new skill. Because of people like you, this game won't make much progres. :(

New skill, why?????

I left Runescape because of all the way everything had changed so much. I only started to play again at the end January 2014, when I found out about Old School.

How can you call it 2007 if you are going to keep adding so many different new things to the game? We DON'T want new skills added. If that's what you want, play EOC.

I have played Runescape since 2006 and was sooooooooooo delighted to discover my game back the way I first remember it.


If you change it like this, you will lose many players, for good this time.

Make as many mini games as you want, just don't add any more skills PLEASE :(


It isn't called "2007", It's called "Old School" It just so happens that when they released the game back to the community it was in the 2007 era. If it was truly Old School it would be day 1 of RuneScape 2, and I GUARANTEE if that were the case you would be begging for updates and new content. So that being said, you can quit if you don't agree with them adding features to keep the game interesting, and keeping the majority of the players satisfied. You shouldn't be complaining about it, you should be thanking them for actually having a team completely dedicated to the Old School community.

A conjuring skill would be nice. You can make melee-magic based or ranged-magic based weapons. Weapons with need runes to be created. The high requirement weapons as in 60+ need special runes that can only be dropped by upcoming or existing bosses. Weapons can only last for a certain amount of time before u need to conjure another one. i would also like to request a guthix godsword that can be conjured. Same other godsword bonuses but the special attack targets the enemies's prayer and gives 25% damage bonus. Revenant guthix Npcs can drop runes to conjure the sword. finally, the higher the conjuring level the more weapon lasts before it vanishes. Please support if u see this is a good idea.

Maybe add some kind of skill like engenineering or engineer for short
benefits: upgrade your own Player owned house with forge/sawmill
upgrade your own armor upgrade your arrows weapons slightly
maybe even add another special attack like changing your d mace spec to mage dmg
make your own non combat pets that follow you
maybe even let them have a 8-10 invetory slots in wich you could store stuff
you could train it with logs bars like smithing/fletching another use for materials
maybe have some monsters drop some kind of special crafting plans that would make
special weapons or upgrades to make some money of it like flatpacks
i would suggest tough that most upgrades would be untradebul but you should be able to remove it to sell your own stuff ofc
maybe add some quick traveling like portals that would take you to other places like fairy rings but like up slayer tower at lvl 65 just at random busy places

Would be cool as a spellbook, not so much a skill though imo. You could also add being able to conjure monsters.This would be somewhat to the extent of summoning, but without having to tediously make pouches. Just use runes and maybe some secondary ingredient to conjure the equipment/monster.
