This is a very cool idea you guys have! Not sure how difficult it will be to implement some of the skills suggested, but nevertheless, this is something I'm greatly looking forward to!

In fact, I'm going to make my own presentation on a skill.

Don't add new skills, you're already ruining the game by adding unnecessary content.

New skills will just ruin everything that makes this version of RuneScape 'old'.

You just want to impress a bunch of people who don't care about the old game, they are players who want a Pre-EoC version of the game.

You're ruining it for the rest of us.

Y'all should just create a "pking" skill. Gain xp by killing players or beasts in the wilderness. It would shut the pkers up, create and active wild, and be completely irrelevant to those who skill. No new items really need to be released and all it would do is strengthen every skill related to pking.

I'll be voting no either way. You need to work on creating a more active a larger player base, not new content. Why create new content when so few will play?

I'm really hoping that my idea for a Dowsing Skill will be in the poll.

I mean, look at the definition:

dows·ing
noun
a technique for searching for underground water, minerals, or anything invisible, by observing the motion of a pointer (traditionally a forked stick, now often paired bent wires) or the changes in direction of a pendulum, supposedly in response to unseen influences.

This sorta fits the theme of Runescape and I feel it will add much needed flavor and variety to skilling in Runescape.

There should be a skill where you can get a companion or familiar, and to summon them, you need to infuse pouches with shards, charms, and say, something to do with them. The skill should be called something along the lines of "Summoning"

So, how do you design a new skill? The first thing to think about is originality, the community would love to see something unique and really special. Forget about Summoning, Divination or Sailing - be completely original.

Archaeology was what world of warcraft added. I like the idea but I also like how world of warcraft had engineering and an option.

I considered necromancy as the opposite of prayer. use the bones to reanimate a minion and the stronger you are the stronger minions you can make but that would be too close to summoning.
