Would be cool as a spellbook, not so much a skill though imo. You could also add being able to conjure monsters. This would be somewhat to the extent of summoning, but without having to tediously make pouches. Just use runes and maybe some secondary ingredient to conjure the equipment/monster.

Oh, I could actually add conjure as a spell type to my spellsong idea very easily. Mind if I use that?

We play 2007 scape to remember the good old days and have fun when people like myself first came across it, years ago. While watching it change into something Runescape wasn't, I felt disgusted it was non stop updates, items, quest, skills etc. EOC let's be honest, your trying to compete with WOW. I have quit EOC and am on 2007 scape with much delight. We 2007 Scape players do not LIKE CHANGE, hince why we are playing a 2007 version in 2014! Please just Leave it alone, you have done enough with MOTHERLOAD and roof-top agility.

I understand that you are trying to further advance Runescape, but why, 2007 scape is perfect.

I feel like you are following in the foot steps of people in charge of jagex/rs back in 08 and slowly evolving 07 into eoc, but in your own way.

---------JUST STOP----------

Why don't you work on a game platform and sell it in the stores you sell your pre-paid membership cards, of 2007 scape. We can buy it download it, and play with others online, that way we can get away from updates!?

I mean hell, I will not be surprised if EOC RS comes out for xbox, ps3, or wii!

I think something along the lines of dreaming would be cool, go to new dream lands and meet dream mentors who could teach secret skills or quests or anything i think dreaming could add a vast new turn onto runescape. look at it how tibetans do dream and sleep yoga.

New skill, why?????

I left Runescape because of all the way everything had changed so much. I only started to play again at the end January 2014, when I found out about Old School.

How can you call it 2007 if you are going to keep adding so many different new things to the game? We DON'T want new skills added. If that's what you want, play EOC.

I have played Runescape since 2006 and was sooooooooooo delighted to discover my game back the way I first remember it.

If you change it like this, you will lose many players, for good this time.

Make as many mini games as you want, just don't add any more skills PLEASE :(

It isn't called "2007", It's called "Old School" It just so happens that when they released the game back to the community it was in the 2007 era. If it was truly Old School it would be day 1 of RuneScape 2, and I GUARANTEE if that were the case you would be begging for updates and new content. So that being said, you can quit if you don't agree with them adding features to keep the game interesting, and keeping the majority of the players satisfied. You shouldn't be complaining about it, you should be thanking them for actually having a team completely dedicated to the Old School community.

I think I can GUARANTEE I wouldn't be asking Jagex for anything! I am not alone in how I feel about these changes, if you read everyone's posts on this subject like I have you will see that.
I am entitled to my opinion the same as you are. I have no intention of stopping playing the game I love, unless I am forced to, let me assure you. You have read my reasons for leaving EOC Runescape, I would like to know, if you like so many changes yourself, why do you play Old School and not EOC?

How about focusing on updating, tweaking, and refining current skills before inquiring a new one? How many skills can you say you train for its content, and not the skillcape or quest requirements? Current skills have no use, no end-game content, and no incentive.

Niners, you're the most gullible person ever to believe that they don't have a backup of their most recent work after making such a drastic change. Why 2007? Because the most recent pre-eoc server would of been way too popular and rs3 would of been dead.

It's hard to know how to feel about this. While a new skill could be interesting, I'm scared of how it will impact on the Old School feel.

I think that if a skill should be added, it should be a modified version of Summoning; with an alternative way to collect charms, and maybe have some of the familiars not so OP, and others not so useless.

Jagex have stated that they have the Summoning skill nearly complete. I really liked all the extra pets too, and if it were to be added, we'd need pet foxes, of course. (Actually, just add pet foxes anyway. Thanks <3)

I Vote for the new SKILL to be founded on the basis of both getting rid of the current jagex team AND proficiently replacing them!

WAIt just a moment now, don't be so discouraged by what was implied in my suggestion, Do not assume that just because jagex has constantly let us down since the beginning of time does not mean that people outside of jagex would do the same given the chance, besides, at this rate, just about any creature might make a more competent replacement...even fish or donkeys... Albeit may be only true when relative to the current state of things

you could make a real ingame representation of such a task, we (our characters) could run around looked for replacement animals around runescape who may be more qualified - in some way or another - than the jagex team!

I love nature, and if you do to you will love this !

!intereact with the animals!

o wait,
