i think i may have a cool idea, how about a companion? each player can get a companion after completing a quest. the companion has the same AI function as familiars but all they're stats start at level 1. just like a real player, companions must be trained to level up. Companions will have a small inventory (MAY POSSIBLY BE UPGRADED), need their own equipment, and CAN DIE (this will have the same effect as if the player has died - Ex; item drops****-spawn). the companions are not as formidable as a regular player, Combat stats should be maxed at 75 making a maxium combat level of 95 if all stats are maxed. Skill stats are maxed at around 50 so they cannot be used for farming items. even though companions will have a lower maximum level they follow a skill tree that will specialize in melee, magic, range or a support class. depending on which route is followed different buffs and abilities would follow. For example the ranger class could have spotter perk which could look something like 10+ range bonus, 5% hit/miss ratio increase. the idea of a companion i think would prove useful in questing and PvM, its also nice to have an NPC that will always watch you're back ( if you're a skiller, you might have a high leveled bodyguard following you around). Companions will not be PvP accessible, unless worlds are designated for them, the duel arena could have a Companion option. i think a skill tree like the ones used in elder scrolls could be adapted to a runescape. not all players will be forced to have companions but it is that could be of great value when they are trained and maxed out. anyway thats just my idea, it could probably use some fine tuning im open to input
I truely love this idea of yours!
