I cannot believe that the percentage of people that play this game are so stuck on trying to keep this game as 07 as possible. This is Oldschool STYLE runescape. The fact that the range and mage cape are no longer even present in this discussion is absolutely disappointing. I much prefer the days without polls where we didn't get to pick and chose what we got, as long as it stays without the evolution of combat style, I say add as many updates as you wish. Stop pleasing the *30% by blocking this game from advancing.
the cape looks awsome, i prefer pushing for inforno fight cave if it passes with cape, otherwise it will be useless doing the fight cave without good rewarding cape, if cape didnt pass then just go with monkey madness 2 and zeah batch 2/3.
I think you need to poll all 3 capes seperatley and see which passes.

New capes are dope, them coming out doesn't personally effect me in any way but it does give me something to look forward to getting years from now since I was barely able to get my Firecape in the first place. With that being said, I don't mind waiting longer for the update to happen.
However, if the update would be coupled with a
Firemaking Pet
then I'd be obligated to ask for it much earlier.
Why do y'all feel the need to model this after the fight caves just because it's a cape? Going through waves of monsters is just tedious and doesn't show any skill. It just shows you have time, money, and a stable connection. I'd be ok with new capes provided it's just a boss fight and nothing leading up to it. You can still have the fire cape as a requirement to fight the boss(s). This way would allow people who have completed the fight caves instant access to the bosses while the waves aspect is still a requirement in a sense.

This looks like something ripped right out of EoC, OSRS was never supposed to be this detailed graphically, and not only that but we don't need an extension to the fight caves. The Fire Cape isn't hard to get, it's just long and boring.
Why can't we have a completely new minigame or quest-line or something, that would atleast require you to have a fire cape to do so. We don't need to make something repetitive and boring, even more repetitive and boring.
i dont see the reason in adding yet another max hit to melee when we already have received the dragon defender and primordial boots, little bonuses that were said to not have that much of an increase in max hit but when u keep stacking them, they do. This game is already meleescape, it doesnt make sense to further that. id much rather this new fight cave offer the mage and range capes only since the lesser equivalents of those are ridiculously easy to get. Honestly, the day that a fire cape isnt bis for melee cape is the day this game isnt "oldschool" anymore in my eyes.
In order for the idea of new ranged and magic cape not go to waste:
After defeating Zuk, his older brother Jad gets very angry and goes in to berserk mode, calling his minions to arms!
Old fight cave will be tuned up slightly, change of foes in waves, different abilities (randomness!). Jad will be even more red and even more BEEF'd UP!
One chance arena brawl style. After defeating Zuk you have only one chance to clear the new BEEF'd UP Jad cave. If you fail to deliver, the Jad cave will return to its old glory. If you want to try it once more, you have to kill Zuk again!
New Jad has the chance to drop either Magic Fire Orb or Ranged Fire Orb which can be attached to the new Zuk cape in order to turn it into respectively Magic(Blue color, same skin?) or Range fire cape (Green? Same Skin?).
The Orbs can only be forged to the new cape in either of those following scenarios.
1) In the volcano of Zeah, after completing the raid, there is a room which stands in the middle of the Volcano, there is an anvil of old gods of Zeah. You have to use the orb with the cape on that anvil in order to form your new cape.
2)Wilderness volcano? Make it a one minute event which will be broadcasted to all in Wilderness. If you die during the one minute period, you will loose both the cape and the orb. The one who slaughters you has small chance of getting either the orb or the cape (But they are not tradeble!)
