I don't understand what's wrong with people worried about the current xp rates going up. Why shouldn't they? The whole problem with the rc skill is that shops are constantly introducing runes into the market and what should be rewarding at 99 (10 air runes) is aboslutely sht because of the runes not being provided by actual rcers, instead packs of runs come into the game each day, rather than be crafted. That's mistake number 1.

This is the mistake they made in order to please the majority of Runescape players. This does not only affect runecrafting but most skills especially smithing. They introduced rune items to stores in order to take value from skillers (smiths) and hand it to newer players so that newer players can have items more readily available. They're not going to reverse that.

Why not nerf rune shops and make runecrafting and magic connected like ores and smithing are, like wcing and fletching are, like fishing and cooking are. You ruined our skill and then you want to say we don't deserve higher xp rates/gp/hr.

If they do that they will have to also nerf PvM and slayer. It would have been best if all smithing and runecrafting and woodcutting and fishing rewards would have been kept completely separate from the whole PvM & slayer scene. (ZULRAH...)

Voting no on these altars, THE OTHER ESSENCE THING IS REDICULOUS, stop playing change scape and give hard working RCers what they deserve, a level 95+ rune.

Many people want that but the majority don't. Majority of players like to slayer and PvM and do other kind of semi gambling w/ combat. If skillers were to be given even equal value then the resources and items would have to take equal amount of hours for PvMers and skillers excluding skill training methods... Such as godswords requiring equal hours of low xp/h skilling on top of PvM.

They say this won't beat the current top XP/HR methods for RC.
As far as I'm aware, it's possible to get upwards of 60k xp/hr via Lavas.

They could easily make Soul Runes 40-45k XP/Hr or something (throwing out a random number). This would still make substantially slower than Lavas, and substantially less profitable than double Nats. However, it's decent profit and decent XP/HR - right in the middle of both.

Given that you need a proposed 90 RC, 40k XP/HR would not be too high at all.

It doesn't make sense to have the exp equal the current top.

If it's higher, takes higher skill to produce, then the reward should be bigger.

I find it unfortunate that I support the power creep, but it's the natural progression of skills. Higher levels perform actions that pay higher rates of experience.

I do not trust you guys on any update involving runecrafting. Will be voting no to any rc update unless we get the exact maximum xp rates and afkability. More details on the new essence would be nice also.

I havent forgotten the "fast xp but no profit" Runespan that completely ruined the skill in one update>>
playing rs since 1976, 40 year vet cape soon

Can't they give us any rough numbers on xp/h? Lavas are 60k+ xp/h, so this may aswell be 50k+xp/h. As Disziple pointed out they really need to learn to balance new game content. I will vote no unless we get some actual info.

I really feel that the Blood Altar should be from the Myreque series. I know that's how it was in RS3, and I know people are really against following what RS3 did, but I feel its just too fitting to put it in Morytania. Legacy of Seergaze would fit right in to Old School, even if it is a direct copy from RS3. Old School Runescape will eventually need higher level armor. Check out my suggestion for Level 80 and 90 Armors and let me know what you think! Feedback welcome!
