"AS MORE INFORMATION is released in the following weeks, it has more of a chance to pass. IF YOU CANT SEE that lots of people are for this ... then it is worth at least attempting to do it. POLLING something without any information would be a stupid stupid thing to do. Jagex has said countless of times this is not wasting any of their time."

Jagex brought this sailing skill idea to the players with absolutely ZERO information. It met with overwhelming rejection.
Jagex then offered nothing more than the Q&A they had already shared via reddit AND twitter. Still meeting with overwhelming rejection.
Here, jagex offers very little additional detail (and in fact the primary issue with this thread is the players and not jagex) and yet you still blindly believe everyone should support the 'sailing skill'. Why, because jagex said so? (that's rhetorical, don't bother)
Jagex clearly had no idea, when presenting this, of what the 'sailing skill' would entail and as such it HAS and SHOULD continue to meet with rejection in a large enough quantity that even those jagex fanboys should be able to identify is more than enough to ensure it doesn't pass a poll (takes a mere 26% to fail).
You (as in jagex, not you) take too long to provide information and those believing no is the response that should be offered will do nothing more than solidify their decisions.
They can offer whatever (however little) information they choose, but the longer they take the more assurance they have that the players (enough of them) will simply say NO.
This game isn't about 'the majority' or what they want. It's about the super majority and the super majority are NOT behind this sailing skill idea. Get over it.
