I like the idea of having Regular, Oak, Teak and Mahogany planks for Construction and Regular, Willow, Maple, Yew and Magic planks for Sailing.
You will never get anything for free. Anyone claiming that is trying to scam, lure or hijack you.

For me it seems strange that the majority of EXP comes from Building, this then seems like a Construction minigame. You should get the majority of exp from like what you've said in other places such as completing random events etc. That seems much more like a sailing skill :/

Agreed, majority of exp should come from exploring and random events. You guys said yourself you want to promote adventure, what is the adventure in sitting around in a dock, or whatever it is, and building ships, waiting for them to finish, go do another skill, come back collect your exp and get another build going? Don't turn this into the skill farming please.

I really hope ship building for higher tier ships will involve buyable items and some nontradable items acquired from exploration so this skill doesnt turn into farming where a daily run is all you do and exploration is obsolete for training.

Also,
I really hope you do NOT sell ships to NPC"s for coins as inflation is already a horrible issue.

The only thing I'm afraid of is balance.

As long as I can be assured that the XP rates in other skills and the monsters / loot found on the islands are not overpowered in any way, I don't see any reason to vote no.

It's very Construction-like. Build stuff over and over again for xp. I hope to see some new fishing content. Something on the par of rocktails. "The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes."
