It seems that the same Old-School mechanics we've come to know and love will still be in place, so I'm not entirely sure what the community's animosity is directed towards. Sailing is going to be utilizing a section of the RS world(water) that should have been utilized way sooner. This game's 'era' just screams implementation of the skill.

As for solo players being able to achieve the best experience rates, I'm unsure what the point in teaming up would be then. There should be an incentive to form teams and cooperate, even if the incentive is small. By allowing solo players to perform just as well as teams, there will be less reason for a "Sailing community" to form. Is this ideal? a little part of first post. Not all like to team up or be in a clan. if they release any skill it should be based for solo players not a clan based or team. either way i would vote no to a new skill in osrs. if people want that they can play rs3.

Hope you reconsider Dung and Sum later maybe just taking out what you think would be so horrible about them but eh....wont actively want a new skill for some time yet so no biggie :P


Dung and Summoning have already been proven to be golden :o Not that my one little vote will mean much at any point but if you want it to go into the yes column for something unknown youd really have to sell it to me :P

I am very glad that they are choosing not to implement dungeoneering or summoning and instead add sailing. While those skills may be fun, they are one of the reasons that I choose to play old school runescape instead, as they changed the game dramatically. Sailing, on the other hand, while it will also change the game, will take it in a new direction, adding content to one of the most untouched areas of the game, the ocean. It will be very interesting, and I hope it will go well. Most important is the fact that we are taking the game in a new direction, different than that of rs3. Old school runescape was made to be an older style of timescale, different from the main game. Some updates have already been added to make it more like rs3, so please, do not add anymore, or we will just end up with a clone of rs3.
To the jagged employees: thank you for making this game fun and exciting and taking it in a new direction
To those so opposed and who want summoning and dungeoneering; why not go play rs3, because it's apparent you want a clone of the modern game.
