Okay so I'd thought I'd put something on here worth reading. Jagex, I quit playing RS3 a long time ago when you attempted to fix something that wasn't broken. You've created a FANTASIC game. Leave it alone. I came back to RS /only because you brought back 07 RS. I wasn't impressed with the new additions to the game but I can manage. 07 RS is the only version of RS I will ever play. I'm so sick of you guys attempting to add new content when the game is already fine. Then game will probably never die out, and if it does, then oh well. You have an awesome run and ran one of the best MMORPGs I've ever played. Please don't convince me to quit this game again and don't give me a reason to either. That's all you're doing. You have a huge fan base who play the games. I'm sure revenue isn't what it use to be (or it may be better, I have no clue). DO NOT make the same mistakes you made in RS3. Let's be real here, that game isn't near as good as OSRS. Many will disagree... but that's my opinion. I will copy and paste this on every new "bad" update/developement/announcement. Jagex, do not turn your players away from the game with new content. Do not fix what isn't broken.

Sincerely,
A guy who just loves RS the way it is, and doesn't want it to change.

Read Zeah update.. thats 100% coming next year.. if you hate the sound of new content you might aswell quit now mate because this is the biggest update of all time it's taken them over a year to make and still in the making at this very moment.. theres going to be so much new stuff you will feel like a noob on release day.

I've already read it. Don't like it but wasn't playing when vote went up. Gotta bite the bullet on that one.
-Eventually OSRS will run it's course and face the same demise of RS3 cause Jagex tries to fix things that aren't broken. Enjoy OSRS while it lasts. It's all you can do.

Honestly, as someone who hates the live game more than the average Joe... you should just rework Dungeoneering and release that.

Chaotics are bad for the game, naturally. But Dungeoneering wasn't a bad skill. It was very mini-game-esk, which turned me off of it for the first while as well. The reason it never stuck with me wasn't because of the content, but because I was FORCED to play through to 80 before anything useful was made available to me.

Spending tokens before 80 was absolutely idiotic, and everyone just paid to be carried to 80, get their Chaotic, and 1 item for the rest of time.

If they spent some added time reworking that skill so that it blended more interesting with the rest of the OSRS skills (and not just OP combat weapons), then I think it would be a great addition.

And more useful stuff. Something good at level 20/40/60/70/80/85/90/95/99. Not just 80 and then the same amount of exp over and over.

And TBH, range is powerful enough without Rigour. Yes, end game melee beats end game range. But there is a PvM/PvP bracket between levels 60-100 where range is basically untouchable and requires minimal risk.

There are also a number of bosses that can only be efficiently killed by range (Zulrah, Arma, Sara). Range does not need more damage. Mage could use a slight buff, but meh.

I see most of the posts are about Dung being polled. Does no one know that the Raids planned for Zeah is going to be the replacement for Dunguoneering?

You mean the same Zeah that they discussed repolling in their live stream because with Mod Reach being gone it has been pushed so far back that it's basically a 2017+ pipe-dream?

Come on now. If you're genuinely looking forward to Zeah then at least acknowledge that this is a silly skill that will waste a decent chunk of dev time that could be invested into a new continent.

I'm open to there being a new skill but I honestly don't see this as a good enough concept. It feels like a skill is being forced upon us, much like the PDC competition a while back (I thought the "Skilling-Slayer" skill proposed was quite a basic and unoriginal/unauthentic idea). I'd much rather the development team sat down and seriously thought out something much more original, new and exciting, that would fit in with Old School. It's certainly no easy feat... I for one would be clueless as to what else to add, but I don't think Sailing is the answer.

I'll definitely give it a chance when there's a more detailed post about it but if it polls it's very likely I'll be voting no.

Sort of anoys me when people say "L0l it will be dead content" as it looks like you've done an amazing job here, and no matter what this is most likely be a more popular skill than hunter/firemaking and you've had the comunity hyped for a good 10 years now, glad to see my dream is finaly here.

Make it so you can train the skill at all ports though or we riot.

Seriously, if you can only train it at the shipyard we will not be impressed.

Do you not watch the livestreams? Zeah has been pushed back to 2017 at the earliest and is going to be re-polled because the Dev team isn't confident the time investment (now that Reach is gone) is worth it.

Sailing hogging dev time pushes the Zeah date back even more.
