To the people that say sailing would ruin the old school part of osrs or that they'd quit if sailing is released, you don't have to train the skill if you don't want to. Just play the game how you want to play, either with or without this skill.

Please dont waste development time on this or even polling it. This is ridiculous and says a lot about the future of runescape if this is a serious dev blog. You're literally ruining oldschool. I hope there comes a point where you release oldschool runescape 2 which is oldschool as it was without these silly updates.. keep this junk on rs3 for god sake.

I remember those conversations from '08. Even back then, everyone always talked about how it would work and how cool it would be.

I guess I always predicted this kind of content to be an RS3 sort of update, since that community is open to more unique content like that.

The OSRS community is in love with the past, especially that 07 game play. Anything that may attempt to throw that off terrifies the whole community, and who can blame them?

I personally love the idea of sailing, I just think it is being developed/considered for the wrong community. Bring it to RS3, it would have more potential there I think
