Both special attacks seem particularly underpowered. Especially in a game that already has godswords.

The AGS for example is two handed, like the bludgeon, but has a +132 strength bonus and a special attack that does 37.5% extra damage.
Now I get that the bludgeon is faster, but with only + 85 strength and a maximum bonus of +33% extra damage (at which point you would lose damage boosts from prayer), this design seems pretty lacking to me.

I like the idea of making something cool and new, like a form of damage boosting that relates to prayer - but this just isn't it.

Personally I liked the boost to accuracy - this seemed like it had a use.

Well, I don't expect the Bludgeon to be as rare and costly as the AGS is either. It is also a lower level weapon than the AGS (by 5, but still is) and its speed does allow for quicker back to back specials, and its mechanic of low prayer kinda encourages it. I may not compete very well with Godswords, but personally I don't think it needs to. Both these weapons to have other uses besides just being a special weapon, which I can't really say is true for the Godswords...

My suggestions:
As for the bludgeon , unlike some other suggestions, I wouldn't buff the spec at all. We don't want an AIO main weapon with a high dps + op spec, or it will invite a full wilderness of 1 itemers. As for the main stats, it's pretty even to the saradomin's blessed sword (+2 higher accuracy and -3 str), so I think the latter will be pretty dead content.

As for the dagger , the spec has a lower max hit than the dds.. I would vote for an accuracy boost on the special making the abyssal dagger superior on defence accounts, while still keeping dds'es superior vs pures.

Agreed about the Sara Sword. They really need to look into improving it, or its upgraded version; I think it is better to fix that than weaken the Bludgeon anyway.

It seems that is what they were going for with the Abyssal Dagger, but they commucated it poorly. When I posted about it on reddit, Mod Ronan said:
"The DDS is incredibly inconsistent, though. The likelihood of getting a big spec is much larger with the abyssal dagger as you only need to roll a successful hit once. If it were to match the damage as well it would be very, very strong."
So it seems the "if the first hit lands, both do; if the first hit misses, neither do" mechanic is meant to give it the higher accuracy. Although, they left this rather vague in the blog and I am still not sure if the chance for both to miss is worth it to guarantee a 1; because that is what it sounds like.

Indeed so perhaps a 15% accuracy boost in exchange for the -15% damage reduction might be a fair trade-off to really make it worth it?

I've compiled some data in case anyone is interested. Formulas used in the following calculations are taken from the unofficial Combat Formulas thread .

Assuming the following PvP gear setup:
Helm of neitiznot
Fire cape
Amulet of glory
Dragon defender
Fighter torso
Rune platelegs
Barrows gloves
Dragon boots
Ring of recoil

All calculations assume that you're using super combat potions, piety, maxed stats and is doing a fight against a mirror opponent.

Abyssal dagger special attack (+114 strength bonus, +123 stab bonus)
Max hit: 72 (36-36)
Average hit: 11.77
Hit 10+: 31.37%
Hit 20+: 27.67%
Hit 30+: 21.58%
Hit 40+: 13.39%
Hit 50+: 6.59%
Hit 60+: 2.17%
Hit 70+: 0.14%

Dragon dagger speicla attack (+79 strength bonus, +88 stab bonus)
Max hit: 80 (40-40)
Average hit: 12.22
Hit 10+: 41.11%
Hit 20+: 29.90%
Hit 30+: 18.14%
Hit 40+: 5.81%
Hit 50+: 2.75%
Hit 60+: 1.28%
Hit 70+: 0.37%
Hit 80+: < 0.01%
