The Abyssal Dagger may aswell not have a spec if it's going to do LESS damage than the DDS =\ The Abyssal Bludgeon's spec also seems pretty useless, even at high prayer levels. I think that the Abyssal Dagger just having double accuracy, two hits just like the dds, with no damage bonus would be perfectly fine. Doing less damage than the DDS and taking twice the energy required is just ridiculous.

The Bludgeon either needs slightly more damage per prayer point lost (.4 instead of .3) or give it a different spec because that spec is pretty poor to be honest for a level 70 weapon that takes two hands to wield. I think an extra 25% damage with it requiring 50% of the spec bar is perfectly reasonable as well.

The stats themselves and attack speeds all seem great, but the specs are very lacking and extremely disappointing =\

Also, I preferred the old abyssal dagger special, as it was unique, and able to be comboed well with poison/ venom.

Make the bludgeon spec work off prayer level, not missing prayer points, and you've got my support.

The idea here is to make the bludgeon a risk vs reward weapon, like dharoks - camp low pray and hit hard.
I personally will use the bludgeon anyway just for the good crush stats, don't care about the spec too much - but I agree that the specs are sort of underwhelming, but then again with this community what do you expect...

so whats stopping someone from wasting their prayer to 1 .. attacking someone - using the spec .. then drinking 2 sips of prayer pot and continuing the fight?

Nothing, but look at it this way, let's say that the max hit with the bludgeon in PvP is 50 with max gear (not sure about this but it's a nice round number), well if you drop to 1 pray from 99 and spec, your damage will be increased by 29.4%, making the max hit a 64, which considering it's a 4 tick weapon isn't too bad, but compared to AGS really isn't that amazing either.

Edit: I have since changed my opinion on the dagger. While it has a lower max hit than the DDS spec, it does have higher accuracy due to the "hit or miss" mechanic. There is a table around page 7 by Woox that compares the damage of it and the DDS. The spec could do with some tweaking, such as an accuracy boost perhaps, but I think it is a nice twist on the DDS (being less about max hit and more about accuracy). Still wouldn't mind the Bleed effect though...

Also, the Bludgeon looks good. I am worried what it will do the Sara Sword though.

I am disappointed in the Dagger's special. It seems to be a worse version of the Dragon Dagger special, which isn't very unique.

The Dragon Dagger has 35 less attack and strength, but its special increases accuracy by 25% and damage by 15%. The proposed spec instead has a decrease of damage by 15% and is 50% drain instead of 25%. Because it lacks the accuracy boost and has a damage decrease, I think the Abyssal Dagger may end up being WEAKER than the Dragon Dagger. From my rough calculations, the Dragon Dagger has a max of 44 while the Abyssal Dagger has a max of 37... So how is it better?

I just can't think of an area where I'd rather use the Abyssal Dagger over the Dragon Dagger, it's spec takes more energy and is considerably weaker with no accuracy bonus and a higher chance to hit 0-0 than the DDS. I hope Jagex reconsiders the spec, I know they wanted to make sure it wasn't TOO good but this is just not a useful weapon.

My opinion on the dagger has changed; see my post above.

My advice:

Keep the bludgeon with the old special attack, the bleed attack, because the way the special attack is now, you would rather smack with a godsword than use its spec, and the bleed effect is cool.

As for the dds, just 1.5x accuracy, double hits and both hits hit or no hits hit seems good to me.
While damage reduction might be balanced, it's kinda boring in a way. Unless it would cost 25 percent special to use it, I wouldn* want a damge reduction.

Also, make them 1/1k or 1/2k drop rate, or they will be cheap soon because you can get 200-250 abby demon tasks.

The damage reduction is kinda needed or else it gets dangerously close to 1 hitting max hp players. Although, it may have been nerfed a tad too much, but still could be very deadly. I hope they better clarify on its accuracy, as currently it doesn’t seem that much more accurate than the DDS.
