Okay, so it is safe to assume 999/1000 players agree - Abyssal Dagger needs an extreme buff to the current Special Attack. It's the right Spec, absolutely wrong drain and wrong effects.

Add the 50% accuracy, completely remove the damage reduction, or if it MUST be there 5%, drain rate should be 35%. Keep the 1st hit mechanic. If the 1st hit lands the 2nd hit will be 100% success rate, if you miss it will be 100% miss rate.

Let's fix this please.

Abyssal Bludgeon too, but I'd rather let those who feel strongly about it offer the fix. I care about PvP and hybridding. The Dagger is my forte not the Bludgeon.

Grenthyl, I particularly like your proposed supplements to the abyssal dagger special attack. Your proposal solves the problem of mele attacks being instantly allowed to do damage from afar, similar to mage and range, as many are concerned. While expanding what to some seems a limitied special for the dagger. Given the recent introduction of Zulrahs combat sequences, which demand attention to the bosses positioning, I can see your abyssal dagger supplemental proposal fitting nicely with this new runescape trend, but for pvp rather than pvm.

Your proposal for the bludgeon is interesting as well and I would not mind such a special attack. However I would much rather tweak the currently offered prayer based special attack, at least for the bludgeon. For future content however I am impartial to such a special attack (devastate, as you call it).

You have enough time consume a Shark (or higher) and Brew twice in between the attack interval of a D Scim hit. As long as you time it out. Even a complete novice to PvP will get off at least one Shark + Brew.

Essentially, you can nearly out eat the entirety of the Bludgeon special attack...regardless of its speed. This isn't a "good" Special Attack.

Why? The Dagger is almost perfect. It has the right Special Attack, but the wrong boosts. I've left the perfect solution. Polling bleed would be a shame.

Grenthyl, your suggestion for the bludgeon could easily be exploited by someone with a mage switch. Ice barrage them, then spec them with bludgeon for unavoidable damage, resulting in the damage /sec stacking with some regular attacks resulting in a considerable dps spike.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Sure, it could. But would that be too crazy you think? it's 5 damage a second, it's not like it's smacking you for 20s every second.

If a player is willing to risk all the gear and attempt to pull it off, i don't think that's too overpowered.

I will admit though, i am no PKer, and am completely open to advice

My only complaint is, instead of polling the bleed effect so ALL PLAYERS have a say, why only take into consideration the reddit communities opinions? Literally 10-50 posts of players not agreeing with a special attack maybe vastly different from the other 50k players...

hey, I know this thread is about the weapons, but can you please look at how the bosses are going to be launched, if you can do something similar to their "boss rooms" like the kraken boss and zulrah so they don't get so over crowded? kraken boss got pretty bad as many players struggled to get their own spawn, that task is long enough as it is :p and you guys let us have the option of using our own world so we didn't have to worry about being crashed or hopping non stop. even with the new instant world hop I do think there will be an issue about the crowds that may appear in future. plus since the slayer levels needed are not that high too, just an idea, I think this issue will come around anyways further down the track so was thinking it could maybe released as an option at launch
cant wait for the new bosses and pet/item chances :)

I like the idea of the abyssal dagger, but will it effect the price of ss quite a bit and make it become a more used weapon? I think the bludgeon needs something more to beef it up or perhaps a pray draining special which uses more of your special attack bar while acting sort of like the d2h or instead of the pray draining, perhaps swap it out for damage and make it sort of like the d2h+ags? But none the less I'm happy about the incoming weapons!
