I'm going to write my opinion of the blog, as someone who has 99 slayer twice on RS2 and half way there to it OS I think my opinion would be worth it not sure if anyone will read it though..

Boss slayer

Sounds very good, not sure I like the idea of slayer bosses counting as the part of the task though. This may cause over crowding which is already an issue at kraken and could be bad when the new monster bosses get released.

Tzhaar task + pet

Sounds perfect to me, one of the biggest issues for people who wont vote for it is making fire capes too easy. Maybe you could remove the reward of a fire cape when on a slayer task and give something like 5 times tokkul and 5 times chance of getting the pet? would help massively when polling in my opinion


Cerberus - The hellhound boss

Infernal tools upgrade sounds great and well balanced, I'm not sure how I feel about smoldering stone and the boot upgrades from the same boss seems like rushing out items that could be used for other bosses , however the 'lore' to do with the heads being each class is really good.

hell pup sounds adorable.


Abyssal Sire - The abyss boss

Looks outstanding, big credit to ghost for it. The entire of it looks pretty balanced. would like to make sure the whip drops from it remain 1/512 just so there isn't a massive influx of them.


Additional slayer reward points purchases

extended task - sounds great, would like confirmation of if tasks that are not assigned from one master would be unlocked after these? not really clear from the dev blog. mega pack sounds nice.

broad darts - In my opinion the worst part of the blog and I predict has a 0% chance of passing the poll. Darts being made useful has balanced so much in the game (smithing, fletching and range) and these being added would throw it all out the window.

I'd hate to see the idea wasted so If it was going to be impliment I would say the strongest it can be is the same as steel darts (5 range attack 4 range strength) which is by far more than enough with the blow pipe (at 99 can hit over 25 with rapid), this can't crash the steel bar/smithing process as everyone uses it for cannonballs. I'm not too sure about lowering the fletching xp but the same as steel darts would be low enough.

herb sack - Sounds almost perfect, I would limit it to 5 herbs just so you can't take every single herb would be such a huge influx of herbs otherwise.

Stronghold Slaycave expansion

Blues, greens and black demons are all good additions, not really sure why reds are there as they are hardly ever assigned but that might change I guess.

Please Please consider added wyverns in they already camped to hell and seeing as there will be an influx of people getting them as a task if the task assignment re factoring does what it is intended too.

Drop Table Improvements

Dark Beasts are in dire need of an improvement so that is good to see, Spirital mages should also recieve their buff however i think the d boots rate should be increased to 1/250 if their drop table has a large increase of value.
Please look at Black demons(don't even drop a clue or anything good despite their level), Hellhounds (no drops at all), Nechs ( rune boots are barely worth anything and its their best drop).

Slayer Assignment Re factoring

I can't Wait for this, there isn't really any information on there but please make wyverns, mithrils, dark beasts(adding them to her list) and (I'm guessing here) smoke devils more common from neive. Duradel needs to assign wyverns too like seriously.

It should at least be better than training Strength with a Sot*. Considering that the Sotd is a magic weapon primarily, a melee weapon like the abyssal dagger should offer superior dps.

Yah, I agree, but I'd be worried about devaluing the Saradomin Sword in the process, since its main purpose is a strength training weapon. I really think the abyssal dagger would work better without a strength option since I think that is what is limit it.

Also, I saw you comment earlier on the boot stats. I wouldn't mind having the Primordial Boots get +5 strength to give a little over Dragon Boots. As for the Eternal and Pegasian boots, I'd rather both be +3 than +4; because +3 is already a lot as far as boots go.

1. Yes. 70 and 80 agility would have more use, just like the dungeon
2. Maybe. RNG-related seems more rewarding to me.

4. Yes. Seems boring to enter the same cave for 1-99 slayer

I see this too many times, "x is op" and never state why.


If anything, the abyssal dagger is underpowered currently.


The stats are perfectly fine for the audience it's aimed for. Making it 82 stab and 82 str to be the same as the whip would devalue the whip so much, same with the hasta. It's perfect how it is.

What audience is that? Pures who can't use a Zamorakian hasta would be better off skipping or maging metal dragons. This weapon is worse than a Sotd or SS for Strength training. I cannot think of any reason why a maxed main would buy one of these, unless the special attack is powerful.

+4 attack bonuses, +6 strength bonus, ~+20 range defence bonus, + 1 prayer bonus. Uses

Horrible idea imo. Bandos boots have their niche use atm and should stay that way.

If you were to suggest slightly more defensive stats (an extra +1, as the ratio of bandos to dragon are now) than the new boots whilst keeping their +15 range buff (maybe making that +20), maybe some stab/slash/crush attack to match the new boots, with the strength/pray bonus staying the same, I'd be open to that.

Voting no to boss slayer as is currently proposed. Would kill the FFA scene as well as adding crashers to bosses. One could say "just get a boss task yourself" but I doubt it'd be a task big enough to last an entire trip (namely at Sara/Bandos)

The hellhound boss doesn't have a slay req.... Yet from the sound of it will be much better profit than the abby demon boss. This doesn't make sense. I think a req should be added to be able to kill the boss itself.

Abby demon boss doesn't seem that great. Abby dagger's stats are meh and there's no other signature drops from the look of it.

I think task raritys should be left alone.
