Any word on adding more drops to the normal Hellhound drop table? I believe you mentioned it a few times on the Q&A streams, but I don't think I read anything about it in the blog.

It reads on the blog that the d pick and hatchet upgrades would be dropped by normal hellhounds too, although they'd be very rare.

Is that it? I was more hoping for a revised drop table so that you at least get something every drop. Obviously some drops would be junk like low level herbs, small amount of coins etc, but it'd be nice to actually have a drop table for them instead of just bones, clues, and a very rare chance at the stone.

1 - Put hellhound boss in Taverly Dungeon
2 - Be careful about adding too many new items. It's one thing I hate about RS3 and one thing that ruined their economy (too many items). I did like the boot drops from Glacors so we will see how it goes. Perhaps a good idea would be to require the hellhound collars be attached to infinity, ranger, and bandos boots (not dragon boots but it doesn't really matter) so as to maintain the prices of those items? :D
3 - Smouldering stone sounds good. I like that it makes the axe/pickaxe untradeable. It's kind of like an item sink like with the Royal Crossbow from RS3. It worked well when they did it so it should work on 07 too.
4 - Hellhound & Abyss boss - Please don't make them click and wait bosses. Some sort of challenge/prayer switching/style switching/etc should be necessary.

What does bio-nexus mean?

5 - Don't see why broad darts are needed. I'd much rather see javelins get some love.
6 - Herb sack - great idea

As part of the slayer expansion, could you perhaps make it so we could use the head drops from various slayer monsters to make pets or something? Or maybe achievement gallery.

Good work guys.

We would also like to include an additional option to get yourself a Jad pet. If you aren't lucky enough to get a Jad pet after getting yourself a fire cape, you would then be able to sacrifice your fire cape for another shot at the pet on the spot. The chances of getting a pet by sacrificing your fire cape would, again, be slim.

I really like this idea. It would be great if we could sacrifice *all* our fire capes to get a shot at the pet. I've got a few spare fire capes laying in my bank. ;)

I also echo Mini Finbarr's concerns regarding the Slayer assignment refactoring. This could potentially increase/decrease the xp rates. This should be approached very carefully.

Apart from that, I think the proposed updates look great. Looking forward to seeing this in-game.

Still not completely happy with how many pvm updates are tossed in especially given how other groups are treated but nothing can be done about that (last part) at least.

Regardless, looks...okay.

"A small addition that we would like to add is broad darts. While available for purchase with both slayer points and coins, we would like to make them very costly for players purchasing the dart tips with coins. They would cost at least 100 coins each from slayer master shops.

It will also be possible to buy the complete darts for slayer points.

The darts will have the following stats and will require 50 ranged and 55 slayer to equip.

+10 Range attack
+9 Range strength

The darts would be tradeable and can be loaded into the toxic blowpipe provided you have 55 Slayer."

Wouldn't it be better to sell the ability to make broad darts rather than just sell the darts for more than they are worth?

I can apprecitate that at least this time around you aren't sacrificing another aspect of the smithing skill on the altar of slayer updates so slayers can have cheap training ammo but you could boost multiple skills with these darts with the same update.

Mithril broad darts for example would require 55 slayer, 52 fletching and 52 smithing and of course the quest completed. To make them less expensive you get 15 tips per bar rather than 10 and to make more useful, give them a hidden ranged strength bonus on slayer beasts and an accuracy boost on assigned targets.

You might even add buying the ability to make adamantite and runite darts with the appropriate slayer, smithing and fletching levels.

Smithers get a new product, fletchers get some love, slayers get less expensive ammo, win/win/win situation right there. ;)
Ha ha, made you look ;)
