Why not focus more on features like the G.E. Database and Adventures Log?? Those would be much more welcomed to the community in my eyes than making things more unrecognizable.

I think it looks perfectly fine. I especially like the background. I doubt many (current) players actually use the website though, a lot of people have a bookmark directly to a certain world or use a 3rd party client and bypass the website altogether. Loads of people end up not even reading the news on the homepage.

I think you are heading in the right direction in targeting the website for new players .

I'm not so sure that metaphor has much of a foothold in this situation.

I get it, it's the scripts and systems inside you think that matter, not the CSS and appearance. But truly, truly, in terms of web design the 'engine' can be just as influenced by how well the '*hassis' is built. One of ideal outcomes of this redesign is having a single, responsive site that looks and functions well on all devices. The responsive CSS will allow them to have ONE site that adjusts to fit the device it's on, currently the site is not very mobile friendly.

I have nothing but respect for those that want to honor the nostalgia of the current, classic design, I know it does that for me, but that shouldn't stand in the way of ease-of-use.

I like everything except for the bonds getting a section at the top, seeing as all you can use them for is membership, and you already have a membership option. All I'm saying is that it seems a bit redundant, although I would say without it I wouldn't know where to buy a bond.

-The font in the red banner (World, Welcome, Ultimate) looks really bad to the point where it doesn't even look like a W, needs to be changed imo

- There's too much empty space around it, I feel we need something on the side of the news feed and push the news feed to the left a bit. Maybe live feeds of the OSRS teams twitters and other information? Or an embedded straw poll to see what people prefer for Ghost's new models? Not sure but it feels very... empty as it is right now. Maybe it just looks empty as we don't have the "polls" or "oldschool runescape" box or the big play buttons on the main part of the website any more.


From a topic I made. I also noticed a new mockup on reddit that had the brown nav bar at the top and black on the outside, i'm sure you know what one I mean but I thought that one looked better than the proposed (which I thought was good already)

I think the new website design is going to make it a lot more attractive to New Players that visit our website for the first time. Apart from that I think it looks lovely and it's a massive improvement of our current site :) !
