Well said, but I doubt they will be on top of this. Look how splashing and guthan AFKing ended up.

Splashing and nmz are the way they are because they were VOTED that way. We voted to leave them in game. Thats why they dont do anything about it. They could take 30 seconds and change a config file and make it stop but they dont want to because we told them not to.

I am a oldschool man, used to play runescape before there was a GE.

No, that is not what happened. The GE failed the first time around. Jagex just drove away most of the people who opposed it by failing to properly maintain the game and then polled it again lol.

In case you didn't already notice, the population for Old School has been steadily increasing. So has the amount of people participating in polls. Clearly those who opposed it changed their minds, because they haven't driven away very many players.

What kind of logic is that lol? As long as the number of new players joining the game is greater than the number of old players leaving (which has obviously been the case recently), the poll participant numbers don't show that "clearly those who opposed it changed their minds" at all. What's happening here is the newer players don't share the opinions of the original community. Clearly Jagex doesn't either so they re polled their newer player base.

Where is the line going to be between merching and price manipulation? This isn't a sarcastic question, I'm legitimately confused. Obviously the people who ran the pyramid schemes on black hatchets back in the day were swindlers, but why would a bunch of rich friends buying out dragon platelegs to make money merching be any different than someone buying 10 dragon platelegs for 160,000 GP each and selling them for 180,000 GP each?

Personally, I would love to see the
User Interfaces of the Grand Exchange and the Trading Post integrated .


What I mean by this is that
when you open the trading window for the Grand Exchange
, there would be an
additional search option allowing you to browse through the present offers
within the Grand Exchange, essentially functioning like the Trading Post in
showing you the exact details of those offers
.

This
integrated feature would differ
from both interfaces
in the ability
for players to
place buying offers
in the system
as well as selling offers in the style of the Trading Post
.

For example, in this additional browsing interface,
players may choose the browse offers option
and they will be taken to an interface similar to the Trading Post in which
they can enter the name of an item and search for all present buy/sell offers of that item with the Trading Post style of details
(possibly with the exception of player names; e.g. placing offers anonymously), and they can
directly interact
with those offers, choosing
to buy/sell the whole offer or just a part of the offer
.

Essentially, this integrated interface feature
would function exactly as the Grand Exchange, but with the additional feature of browsing both present buy/sell offers
within the Grand Exchange and is
basically the Grand Exchange with the ability to see the details of current trade offers
within the system in the style of the Trading Post.

That is what I would like to see.
