Here is a more detailed example of my idea:

Saradomin

opens the Grand Exchange window and

selects the sell option, selecting to sell 10k feathers from his inventory for 10gp each

. After confirming his offer,

Saradomin's offer is listed in the Grand Exchange

.

Zamorak

then opens the Grand Exchange window and

selects the buy option, selecting to buy 15k feathers for 5gp each

. After confirming his offer,

Zamorak's offer is listed in the Grand Exchange

.

Guthix

opens the Grand Exchange and

selects the browse offers option

, entering the item name feathers and he is taken to a window where

he can browse all current trade offers on feathers listed in the Grand Exchange

, and he is able to see that

Saradomin is offering to sell 10k feathers at 10gp ea for a total of 100k

and that

Zamorak is offering to buy 15k feathers at 5gp ea for a total of 75k

.

Since Guthix needs to buy feathers, he selects Saradomin's offer, but only buys 5k feathers at 10gp ea for a total of 50k

.

Zaros

finally opens the Grand Exchange and

selects the browse offers option

, entering the item name feathers and he is taken to a window

where he can browse all current trade offers on feathers listed in the Grand Exchange

, and he is able to see that

Saradomin is offering to sell 5k feathers at 10gp ea for a total of 50k

and that

Zamorak is still offering to buy 15k feathers at 5gp ea for a total of 75k

.

Since Zaros needs to sell feathers, he selects Zamorak's offer

, and since he is the Empty Lord, he doesn't care about how much he makes

and sells Zamorak 15k feathers at 5gp ea for a total of 75k

.

I hope this detailed example helps clear up some questions about this idea.

I like the idea, but I foresee that the ability to see every offer on the Grand Exchange could throw the economy out of whack pretty bad.

I know it may seem unpopular but I would LOVE to see the 4 hour caps reintroduced(the same 4 hour cap that once you buy, you cannot sell for 4 hours or buy for 4 hours), this is when G E was working just the way it was intended and I feel as if it made excessive/abusive trading virtually unheard of (except for the merchanting clans, which is now against the rules so it'll be even better now. )

I think we should have a POLL for this at the very least.

Basically, when the G E first came out, the same everything, except for the item price capped at only 5% above and 5% below median trade price.

I think we must bring the community together to decide on if it should be just like how it was closest to when it was 2007. The Grand Exchange just worked the best when it first came out. It was PERFECT.

Can you make it so you can un-box noted sets into their unboxed noted formes? I bought 200 super sets and had to un-note and manually un-box them. Was a real pain.

The grand exchange is a useful tool assisting us with selling those pesky items not only one person wants. The down fall is the player interaction. Goal's/items are much easier to grasp on to. Trying to find someone who has all of that one item you need, bargaining to get the best deal. RuneScape use to make the player's work hard to gain level's... ( clicking on rock's ,prospecting rocks ,mining rocks, getting that level that says 99 ) with some feeling of accomplishment, only taken from you down the road when simplifying the game somehow makes it better.. A new voting system is in dire need. This game is filled with new players everyday. Not all know right from wrong. Sincerely ~

Alright, If I was actually writing this censoring everything I really want to say, this would be full of censorship, but Ill keep this G rated.

UGH! I seriously am disappointed that this was brought into game, the way it was forced into game by the thousands of botters who used their accounts to vote it in (if you think that majority of the real runescape players wanted it, you are wrong), the fact that it was even offered before attempting the trading post modifications.

Iv been trying to continue playing the game and not let the G.E. ruin it for me, but it honestly has, I never had an issue buying or selling items for the two years this has been running.

The amount of things that have been let slide in game, splashing, afk nmz, G.E. are destroying the version of the game that veterans returned to play.

I want to see the buy sell offers as many have suggested, I sincerely hope that is polled and modified into the G.E. (basically make it the version of the trading post that people wanted).

I hope that achievement diaries will re-spark my passion. Looking forward to them and Zeah. Trying to stay positive here lol... :'(

To give my opinion some weight, this is from a 13+ year runescape classic veteran, rank 550 overall/ 2k+ total lvl currently in osrs.

EDIT: oh, and C O I N S, I couldnt agree more to your post above. It was actually really fun grinding/strategising to get your 99's, now its just not the same. Player interaction has gone down greatly...really trending towards a single player feeling game.. could go on and on. The Legacy lives on... | 115+ PvM Clan
