please remove the g.e.(the building)

I never understood the logic of a huge building being made for a 6x6 square of useable space. if f2p where allowed to vote at the time id definatly vote against it

instead id like to sugest that those unused stalls in varocks marketplace(around the fountan) be converted into exchange stalls

1.it fits into the storyline of the game(already a market there)

2.varock teleport takes you directly there

3.dosent change the landscape drasticly

4.can be added to other large cities if requested by the players

please repoll with this option added. im positive it would win if explained properly ^_^

ps:i said the exact same thing the first time the ge was added.so I should know what im talking about
oh romeo romeo, wherefore art thou romeo! deny thy jagex and refuse thy ban!
hark! what brick throu yander window breaks! it is the jagex! and juliet is the shards :-(

I predict the game will lose about half it's players this way within a year, congratz to all the people that are responsible for this. This aint my game no more, I might merchant with GE any time soon, if I can change my pass in every case, atm I can't change my pass and someone takes over my account every time.

I wonder who logged in on my account 5 days ago and I really wonder what my latest 10 trades look like and who I traded with.

I'm pretty sure that update that had overwhelming support from the player base won't be responsible for causing a large amount of players to quit.

I'm pretty sure RS sometimes had over 250k people online but after GE that amount dropped to about 25k.

Now the same thing is about to happen with oldschool, but it's oke, I'll hear you agin in about a year ok?

Of course, you're completely 100% right about the Grand Exchange being the single update that caused the decline of players. It wasn't at all the trade restrictions, wilderness removal or EOC. Yep, definately the G.E. Nothing else.

Woohoo! This is just fantastic to see the Grand Exchange make it's way to Old School and of course we just had the permanent free to play.

Both of my favorite updates so far within Old School for sure! I'll go have a visit there on my other account to see and visit it.

Well done to the Old School team :) .

Yes!!! Thank you so much, Mod Ash and the OldSchool Development Team, for all of your hard work!

I have been waiting for this moment for nearly two years now - I'm so happy to see it finally become a part of Old School RuneScape.

Here's the deal. The rule of thumb should be unless you've been in the foxhole, you should have no say on such major updates like the GE. In other words, only those who've played and actually experienced the game prior to the GE, which was released on November 26, 2007, should've been entitled to vote in an old school veteran-exclusive poll. Perhaps, Jagex really needs to consider making such a poll where seniority matters rather than inviting a bunch of neophytes who don't know nothing about the game to decide its fate. As the voting privilege currently only allows for a total level of 280, all it takes is a horde of incompetent noobs to grind or bot up the required level to ruin a game that the real veterans built from the ground up and has a great degree of sentimental and nostalgic value. There's no way in hell that the 76% of yes-men were legit in their voting for the GE because most of them came after the GE was released, so their biases would, of course, constitute for the need of a GE or another RS3 system in OSR. As these new players enter OSR more, they'll incite the introduction of more RS3-esque features into OSR and make this game into another RS3 because they're ignorant to the whole embodiment of OSR. All they know is their game.

I've been playing since 2006, and I wouldn't know nothing about RSC, but you don't see me trying to change RSC into OSR. Also, RSC has a tight, knit community just like RS 2006-07 had. So, why should it be allowed here?

There are OSR loyalists, RSC loyalists, and RS3 loyalists. You don't see any OSR features entering RSC and vice versa, and I find many OSR features good aside from the GE. Just because one game has it doesn't mean every game should. RSC has its cert system; OSR had the TP, and RS3 has the GE. Each is or was unique in its own way, but that doesn't mean it should intrude on the other game because newcomers from the rival game feel it should be there because their game has it, and that's all they know, especially if the content has flaws and contributed to the migration of players away from that game.

I'm assuming you weren't playing when the Grand Exchange was released. If you were, you would know that two things also happened with the Grand Exchange came out: Free trade removal, and Wilderness PK'ing removal. If you're unsure what those are exactly, just Google them. The RuneScape Wiki article is very helpful. It's safe to say that those are why people quit, not the Grand Exchange.

UGH! I seriously am disappointed that this was brought into game, the way it was forced into game by the thousands of botters who used their accounts to vote it in

Mod Weath, or one of the OSRS mods(I forget) stated on Twitter that only 120 accounts who voted were bots.

Sooo, ya.
