thread full of noobs posting invlaid quites that don't mean anything. they could just give you bonds and f2p without poll if they wanted, but their not.

I'd vote yes if i could TBH. even if it means a few quit, good riddins your not true players anyway TBH.

Buying a bond on RS3 costs ~£3 and can be sold in game for 7M. By making a few assumptions as nothing is currently set in stone I can assume that OSRS Bonds will cause a decrease in bond sales for RS3 and also damage the RS3 economy further.

The reason for this is assuming the price of an OSRS bond stays the same (~£3), and selling the OSRS bond on OSRS is any more than 1M. Then an OSRS Bond is more valuable to a RS3 player than the actual RS3 Bond.

The OSRS bond will be more valuable because of the transfer rate of gold between the two games. The current transfer rate of GP from OSRS to RS3 is roughly 1:7.

So depending on the in-game worth of an OSRS Bond this is what it means for RS3:

+ OSRS Bond sells in-game for 1M: Can be transferred to RS3 for 7M (This is exactly as it is currently).

+ OSRS Bond sells in-game for 2M: Can be transferred to RS3 for 14M.

+ OSRS Bond sells in-game for 3M: Can be transferred to RS3 for 21M.

As you can see, the OSRS Bond has got the potential to further damage what is a very damaged RS3 economy.

Voting NO. I am absolutely opposed to condoning, encouraging (or making legal) RWT. Swapping between RS3 and OSRS should never be allowed. This feels like a sell out :( BONDS and the ability to buy in game wealth essentially destroys the whole foundation of the game and purpose of any achievement. The whole thing feels like a bad joke. Please leave oldschool alone. No BONDS. I'm all for F2P but not at the expense of the game. So sad....

I will be voting with a resounding NO. I am all for the idea of F2P, but Bonds will ruin OSRS, just like they ruined RS3. 'Stronger economy'? Bonds decreased the value of money significantly, making your efforts worth significantly less. Buying in-game wealth inflates prices, simple. There's a reason why Logs cost 300gp on RS3.

I would love F2P, but not with a wrecked economy. It just doesn't make any sense.

When you purchase a Membership Bond through the website you can then either redeem the bond for membership or sell it to another player. If you buy a bond for in game gold from another player you will be able to easily redeem it for 14 days’ of membership.
You either make the tradable bond a separate question right from the start or expect this poll to fail miserably. No one likes pay to win.
Sorrow is the conduct to a void inside us.

Mods, if you even read this..

Im just not sure what to vote. I want to vote YES, because in the end I believe F2P is the only way to get a big community again. But then, I just don't like how you guys are playing this.. I too much get the feeling that you are just doing this to make money. I read lots of comments from players in which they request some limitation to how (many) bonds are bought and sold, but you don't suggest any way to incorporate these wishes. Instead, you just announce a poll and thats it.

So, I would suggest is to have at least a minimum level and number of quest points before being able to buy and sell bonds. It would be even better if the higher the level, the more bonds can be bought. Because, to be honest.. The biggest argument against this RWT (it seems) is the fear of noobs buying their way to success. Rather a lvl 126 making 20m/month through bonds than a lvl3 noob on his first day in osrs.

PLEASE INCLUDE AN OPTION TO VOTE FOR BONDS WITH LIMITATIONS TO BUYING AND SELLING ON THE BASIS OF LVL / QUEST REQUIREMENTS.

THIS SHOULD NOT HARM THE IDEA OF BONDS AT ALL, THEY WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE IN THE GAME FOR ANYBODY TO TRADE WITH GAME MONEY, BUT LVL3 FIRST DAY NOOBS CANT GET A FALSE MILLIONAIRE START

Jagex wont be happy about your IDEA, because main purpose of the bonds - to suck out as much money. High lvled players will not be buying bonds for real money, because they can make much GP in many ways and then buy membership for this GPs. Bonds is needed only for newcomers, or noob (but rich) players, who dont want or dont know how to make GP in game.

We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape.
