I'm just really surprised at how many people have fell for this lame attempt from Jagex of trying to get microtransactions in. I'm just staggered. Don't get me wrong I am FOR F2P, however this is not the way to go about it.

This projection graph that they have produced as evidence means nothing. You cant project in this case because there are too different games any many OSRS players pay with RS3 Bonds because they don't want to have anything to do with the game. They just use that cash in RS3 and pay their way through OSRS. They just use this microtransaction and somehow tie it F2P to win the hearts and minds of the players to get this poll passed. Pathetic.

I just feel that this poll will pass. GOD FORBID.

I dont understand

Having these membership bonds for FREE TO PLAY
Its not FREE TO PLAY
Whats the difference from buying a normal bond for membership and having acess to member worlds. But then having a membership bond for F2P worlds?
Why you buy a bond for free 2 play world when you can just get one for members world?

I'm with you Isaac! Hoping this poll doesn't pass. I would love for someone to give a really good reason why bonds need to be brought back. How can Jagex say just bringing back F2P as it was in 2007 wouldn't work if they haven't even tried it? They didn't even put numbers on the y-axis of their graph. I remember having a ton of players then.

Actually they have tried it over the past year and this is the only viable way of securing f2p at the moment.

Free to play worlds do not require membership, bonds will be able to be bought in F2P to access the members worlds.

I support this idea! It helps to bring new players into the game while maintaining reliable members, keep the game active, and make more supplies come into the game! I'am all for it! The bonds is a great idea coinciding with membership!
You doing a great Job 'Oldschool Team'

Keep it up!

It seems pretty clear to me that the pros outweigh the cons. This is the only logical solution to the long term survival of the game.

Pros:

- Reduced bots as a result of reduced buying from gold-selling websites
- The advertising campaign Jagex is currently developing will prove to be much more effective because players will be able to "try before they buy."
- Players logged in at any given time will increase tremendously - potentially double. This revives the economy, PvP, PvM, and minigames. As a result, the size of the development staff will also increase and more updates can be made in less time.
- More players will have the ability to purchase membership, so the number of members will increase
- Converting bonds to tradeable forms will provide a money sink

Cons:

- The active real-world trading of cash for in-game gold, which decreases the impressibility of being rich in-game and allows for an "easy way out" for new accounts to get a huge head start.

I know that we all miss being able to log into a game with 200,000 online players. While that number is astronomical compared to the current count, we will be much closer if the community votes yes to F2P and bonds.
I will be voting yes.
