Lost Soul, I could make the same exact comment in reverse.

2nd worst community I've seen, they don't want to earn anything in game, they instead want to use real life currency to buy their way to 99's.

People who got 99's in a legit hard working fashion over weeks/months, can watch as someone can just buy a bunch of gold via bonds, and train the skills ultra fast!

This removes any 'role-playing' from the game
. If you have enough money in real life, you can just buy as much gold as you want through bonds.

Trust trading has never been safe, Jagex has warned against it in the past! That's exactly what rs3 to osrs gold transfers is! It is trust trading, and very risky! Just because this risky practice exists, is not a reason to allow buyable gold in the game.

I like your signature Heritage! :)

Not a single person on the live stream mentioned about officially implemented buyable gold perhaps being bad for the game? *sigh*

We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape.

honestly Idgaf about what the game costs me to play..if I like the game i'm gonna pay its as simple as that...but I work really hard to make my character good and struggle and skill my ass off and then someone can just buy the wealth and items in a few minutes that took me all this time to earn? Is this really fair? don't let greed ruin this game jagex..ffs you've just raised our memberships so cant you give f2p with that raise? and did the membership raise calculate into your projected graph? I hope I speak for many when I say....
WE DO NOT WANT OUR GAME WEALTH TO BE PURCHASED FROM WHAT BASICALLY AMOUNTS TO BE ANOTHER INGAME STORE...
another thing I don't understand.....if theres already bonds in rs3 eoc..and one memberships pays for it all...then why is bonds for osrs even necessary? so what..obviously just make a lot of money in eoc and sell it too osrs? that pretty much sounds like whats already been happening and now just do it in osrs instead?

I love the idea of permanent f2p but f2p should leave people wanting for more(buy membership in the future)If you start limiting the possibilities people wont like it and therefore wont subscribe. For example if you look at rs3 f2p is complete **** you cant do anything you get constant ads telling you to buy bonds and become a member. That kind of approach will keep people away from rs not bring them in.But releasing f2p will bring a lot of bots. The idea of adding a certain quest req is good but taking away already limited access in f2p is bad.The quest requirement should not be something that we had back in the day that you can trade only with a 10k difference.
The quest req would not be a permanent solution for bots but it is better then limiting the gameplay and I am sure you can tweak somethings in the future if it does not work out in the beginning of permanent f2p.
Wish you all the best :D

I agree but even if there is no bonds , this kind of players will still buy gold from gold sellers to archive their 99's

So bonds or no bonds at the end it will not make a difference :|

Yes, but buying from the gold sellers is against the rules and could mean that your account will be permanently banned.

Im going to make this very simple.

If people want to buy thier way into the game, they are going to do it...

By adding bonds , the money goes to jagex and helps benifit the company and in turn benifit us rather than the bots.

Revenue will increase greatly allowing for more developers and a better game.

Sure buying gold is against the rules but the odds of being ban are very low.

A lot of other large games have introduced systems just like this including WOW and EVE.
