OSRS only membership option

£3.20 a month

I would definitely support this. As of now, that would be extremely unlikely; however, splitting osrs and rs3 could be a viable option eventually.

As for possible anti-botting strategies, quest points look like a good idea. Yews and lobster fishing spots could be disabled on f2p worlds entirely could also work.

This is a GREAT idea. Means I'm able too play a new 07 account without using real life cash! :D
You can pay for them on your current account as well. :)

Oh sweet. :) I hope a bunch of players use bonds to pay for their 07 accounts. Can't wait for this!

When my friend was telling me about what you all said, he made it sound like you gotta pay with bonds to play f2p, but I've since read this and realized he's wrong, thankfully.

Any micro-transactions involved with bonds shouldn't even be polled, just add in the bonds, seeing as many players only use bonds to play OsRs, which currently requires them to log into RS3, it saves the hassle of having to log into something they dislike.

Thumbs up for f2p.

I do not play OSRS. However, I find it weird how some people are forced to play RS3 just to maintain their membership in OSRS via Bonds. If people want Bonds to pay for their membership that is fine. It is clear from this graph that F2p without Bonds will definitely damage OSRS.

But in all honesty OSRS is not the moneymaker you people believe it is. If Jagex managed their projects better they would not have to resort to an older version of Runescape with heavy modifications to turn a profit.

* On F2P and after level 20 combat you do not receive combat XP for damaging an NPC if your combat level is more than twice its combat level

Is this only for new accounts or does it include current/previous members?

Only includes new accounts, previous and current members the limit is removed.

MTX would be a completely different poll and are not included in the bonds/f2p poll.

I honestly wouldn't put it past Jagex to attempt to sneak it into this one.

How will this affect the runescape economy

When a player sells a bond to another player 10% of the value of the bond is removed from the game through a trade fee. Therefore with bonds gold is leaving the game rather than being introduced by bots.

I'm not naive enough to believe that people don't, haven't, and aren't, doing this Ashes. The difference is officially supporting it.

That's the plus side as you point out. Those that are going to do it, can do it on the up and up, and profit Jagex as a result. (The cash sink, while good for the in-game economy, is rather marginal in real effect.)

I have no problem with Jagex, the company, trying to make a profit. My problem has always been with the playerbase, ever since my nooby self realized what those bald green guys chopping yews or mining coal meant for the game back in '06.

The players forced Jagex to abandon the ideals they had written down then. I am not going to change my mind and condone the behaviour of those who did this to the game, either then, or those still doing it now.
