For the love of god if you want this game to survive in the future

VOTE NO !

I beg people to vote no, if this passes oldschool is ruined for ever !

Grand exhange and EOC is what ruined runescape in the first place, don't allow this to happen again. Trading must happen between players and not by a grand exchange system. This is an easy scape solution for players who think the game is too hard because they have to do an effort to organize their trading, find a buyer/seller and keep track of going prices. It is not a small thing it is something that will have a major impact on the oldschool economy. The way we trade is the cornerstone of the way the prices change and the speed in which they can change. A grand exchange system is just waiting to be abused by merchanting clans who want to manipulate prices by creating artifical scarcity of certain items in the market. The impact they have on the current oldschool economy is limited because they have to organize manual trading which takes and effort (the way it is supposed to be). This limits the speed in which they can buy out items and makes it far more difficult to control and manipulate prices.

DO NOT GIVE THE PEOPLE THAT RUINED THE ECONOMY OF THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE THE TOOL TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN !

We all wanted an oldschool runescape, no easyscape, with a healty economy and we have it now, don't give it away by being stupid !

VOTE NO FOR THE GRAND EXCHANGE IF YOU LOVE OLDSCHOOL BECAUSE IT WILL BE RUINED IF THIS INFERNAL GE PASSES THE POLL

This is the most important poll since the original polls to decide if they would build oldschool in the first place. Don't be lazy and don't be stupid, VOTE NO ! THE SURVIVAL OF OLDSCHOOL DEPENDS ON IT

Take the word from somebody who has been playing since 2004 for it and has seen it all !

PROS :
1. Convenience
CONS:
1.Loss of player control to prices of items
2.Reduction in prices of low tiered/ non-member items
3.Easier to get 99 in lots of skills without leaving GE
4.Merhcant Clans manipulating prices
5.Loss of communication between players
6.Loss of original merchanting community
7.Makes Quests useless since people just buy items

THIS IS O S R S . CONVENIENCE SHOULD NOT DRIVE UPDATES, WHY CANT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS JAGEX?

You can all beg and beg for people to vote no. However the yes votes have gone up and up and been steadily increasing since day 1 of the poll and have yet to change.

Your efforts are in vain, the GE IS COMING TO OLDSCHOOL RS. Embrace the change or leave, the 25% leaving will only help the economy so by all means, quit OSRS, even though we all know you'll be back in a month.

The so-called 75% is a farce anyways. They cheated to get it, and the entire poll was rigged. Look at the number of spam bots, streamers, and clans who were telling the sheep to vote yes. The poll was neither legit nor logical. All they did was bot up the yes votes, and like sheep, the rest of the neophytes, like John Maynard Keynes said, just "herd[ed] and extrapolat[ed]." Sadly, this is the future of OSR, and they plan to run it to the ground after they make it into another Great Depression.

Meantime, Jagex has, at its disposal, a nice, potential blueprint in order to make something good of the OSR incarnation of the GE, and that's the TP. If Jagex can get the GE without placing price tags on items, which should truly be left up to the real players, and allow players to actually see the offers before buying or selling, then it would work greatly. Also, make it so that its in every bank in OSR rather than placing it in one spot like Varrock or Falador. So, to reiterate, no price tags on items would prevent price manipulation and allow players to control prices rather than the system. Make offers viewable to interested buyers and sellers, and allow players to choose their best offers. Also, make it available and accessible from any bank, not just in Varrock or Falador!

The poll was just as manipulated with the 'Yes' votes as it was with the 'No' votes. The only difference is more people care about the GE so more people were able to manipulate the 'Yes' votes. In the end it's the same results.

What An Infant said was right, the number of 'Yes' votes have been climbing at a slow but steady rate. I've kept an eye on it pretty much since the poll came out.

The only possible way GE won't make it at this point is if Jagex decides to remove a lot of the votes people voted on multiple accounts with, which is highly unlikely.

@brokenreins Almost none, we looked at multiple voters and only 8 people had voted more than 10 times, the max was 20 times, a total of 120

Kind of dampens the day for a few forumites who have seriously embarrassed themselves by re-posting silly rumours, huh?
