I've changed the negative bonuses on the Serpentine helm to -5 from -10, this keeps the helm melee focused and doesn't hurt you too much should you want to hybrid while you're still better off with a helm switch and still allows for a ranged and magic variant of the helmet in the future.
Regarding the drop rate discussion, those won't be decided until the boss has been completed and balanced. One of my core aims for this project is to provide a good source of stable income, I'd like to achieve this with the standard drop table so the signature drops can be rare.
