Look buddy, I'm not here to get into a debate about the effectiveness of pure PKing with you. I'm simply sharing my opinion on yet another overpowered and needless release of content. Yes, I chose to limit my account as being a 1 defence pure, and no that's not why I'm complaining. Any zerker or even 70+def PVP player should feel the same way. It's a slippery slope adding content like this. Before you know it we've got ags, SoL, better whips, strange tentacle staffs, magic damage boosting amulets and other gear, and suddenly we're back how rs combat was before eoc. When people voted for 2007 revival, they didn't vote for 2012 rs revival or whatever we're working toward right now. Sure, it still looks like 2007 and I know there have been a ton of polls, but how long is it until my abbyssal whip becomes obsolete, or barrows armor becomes pocket change?
1. People didn't vote for 07 - we didn't have a choice, it was the only version they had saved.
2. Whips will always be good.
3. Barrows armour is already pocket change to most people...

That is what we voted for and what we are getting, it will be designed to be soloed only I would hope.
This is the first boss that is 'solo only'. I think pretty much every other boss in the game is multi, therefore possible to kill with friends.
It is going to be instanced also.
I really, really hope it's solo only, the first and only solo boss for OSRS.
We've had Corp, GWD, thermy and the kraken boss which have all been bosses that you can kill with friends, it would definitely be nice to have a solo only one.

Muuuuch better than the first blog. Good call on removing the spike, I absolutely agree that a dragon defender from the Warrior's Guild is more sensible.
And good job on making the blowdart more useful than a Magic Shortbow--it was garbage before.
The only thing that I would really like to see is the -5 to magic and ranged be removed from the Serpentine Helm.

Nah man, at first it was -10, but -5 makes sense, it's a melee helm (mage/range already have their own drops) and barrows helms right now have -2 range / -6 mage, so it's actually pretty balanced with -5 / -5.
It is illogical to suggest that the upgraded Trident will be "too much dps" or "Op" when a cheap, non degradable level 70 whip will still be better in most areas. For PvM, this will still not likely be enough as magic is still going to be inferior and imbalanced in PvM compared to melee. You have to consider that the Trident still costs ~400gp/cast. The toxic trident
will have the expense of the scales on top of that
and the poison damage will reduce xp/kill, when the PvM xp rates for magic is already horribad.
The only problem is that it's more of a bandaid solution that makes spells like waves even more useless.

The penalties are reasonable. Consider this; A range/mage tank can get...
1/6th chance of poisoning while getting attacked
And another 1/4th chance upon attacking
...if they use the helmet with the Blowgun/Tox staff.
If it actually will be able to work like this, the chance of the enemy getting poisoned will be very high. There has to be something to balance it, which is why the penalties are there. The Serpent helm's mage penalty is trivial btw. It's actually slightly less than Torag's Helm.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.
More updates for maxed cash/stat RWTers and AFKers please end game content every month is a necessity because everyone who matters in this game is maxed cb and they will quit if they dont have a new -millions of gp-
loot dropping boss to kill. Dont worry about anyone who is level 60-90... Ill just Solo a Blue dragon..or maybe ill cut wood untill im level 126 and have enough for bandos + AGS since people really skill for their GP anymore Right?

I'm a level 86 and disagree with your lousy argument. I have no problems with game content, there's plenty for people around my level. There is not much solo content for higher level players however, as most of the high level pvm content are for teams.
Skilling for gp has never been a good choice, with few exceptions like Rc. Do you really think it'll be reasonable for a afk skill like Wc (as cutting wood is what you mentioned) to be able to make as much as bosses?

Im not saying that high levels dont deserve solo content, i even said earlier i appreciate it because i know one day ill be there and can take part too. However if you think theres plenty for lower levels thats new and exciting, i disagree. DKs, KBD, wilderness demi bosses, giant mole.. Theres a **** ton of things for high levels to solo already. My only argument which isn't lousy is that lower levels deserve SOME new content as well. otherwise theres nothing to keep them around which creates problems for this games future, weve already began the process of moving far away from 2007, we might as well keep everybody entertained..
