Really? How about a freaking range and mage helm equal to this helm that the boss also drops? I am sick and ******* tired of MELLE SCAPE.

Another player thinking magic and ranged aren't receiving an update… magic is actually receiving two.

The helm's stats say that a magic/ ranged helmet (probably one that gives magic damage boost and a ranged one that adds ranged strength) could potentially come in the future.

I would like to see this helm be made the go-to option for hybriding as well but completely removing the negative bonuses would make it a little too good (which i would be ok with tbh). Imo if they were to make it -6/-2 instead (just like the barrows helms) it would be perfect. Since this boss will require at least 2 attack styles i see myself using the helm for it (mainly for the poison/venom immunity) and would rather not bring helmet switch

I actually completely forgot that other barrows helms give negative mage/range (stooooopid me), so yeah, support for Cams's idea of giving it -5, would balance it out alot, not 0 in both, would be overpowered compared to other helms, but not -10 which is a bit of a nerf compared to others.

yaaa thats true slay helm, now that you put it that way it does have not very many usable purposes as it does degrade and would be quite rare. Still tho.. not seeing how a dragon defender being added into the game FOR FREE is good in any way. Save for DFS or accept that Rune Defender has much higher offensive stats than the DFS. No real need for a dragon defender in OldSchool.

I have both a DFS and a rune defender. Why should the best DPS off-hand be level 40 content?

it should not, plenty of room for expansion, which is why I liked the original Venomous Spike idea. I just do not think that adding a higher tier to the defenders is the right solution as they are completely free to obtain and takes about 5 minutes. If thats the case why not make a barrows defender as well and just get it all over with? Just makes the game easier... If its going to be higher tier equiptment, make it hard to obtain or expensive to maintain. Plain and simple
